Just like its namesake indicates, the Village Center is at the epicenter of the Durango Mountain Resort and Purgatory experience. There is no better location for your winter or summer adventures. The condo is a corner residence offering great views of both the mountains and the ski slopes and is located on a single level on the 4th floor with elevator access and has two decks to enjoy the amazing views of the Needles Mountain Range, perhaps the most stunning and gorgeous array of 14,000 foot peaks in all of the Colorado Rockies. The building features a hot tub on the roof with great views, a restaurant, 2 bars, an arcade, a slopeside deck, Purgatory’s ski school, the Purgatory childcare facility, 2 ski rental shops (one for high performance gear), and the resort’s premier shopping location, Purgatory Sports. With the deli right next door offering great sandwiches, breakfast, and light groceries, you truly won’t have to get in your car after you arrive. Note this condo does NOT have access to a ski locker. Reviewer Comments: This condo is in the perfect location! It was quiet, with great views! It is an older condo so if glitz and glam is your thing this is not the place for you. It was comfortable with everything you need. We had a great week skiing. 2 king bedrooms with 2 separate bathrooms. Washer and dryer worked great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very nice condo. A little dated, but well kept. Location was convenient. Beds we were comfortable. All TVs & appliances were in good working order. Setting was AMAZING. CONS: Dishes weren't clean, we had wash everything before we could use it. Needs better lighting in the bathrooms, too dark. The last night we were swarmed with gnats inside the condo, although the property manager can't be faulted for that. ##### Steve D. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo worked out well for my family of 4 skiers. Location can’t be beat. Beds & couch are comfy. It has a washer/dryer, which is a plus on a longer stay. We really enjoyed using the fireplace, and it is easy to call and have wood brought over. Only downside was the people before us really messed up the coffeemaker and cleaners must have overlooked it. Everything else was great, and the rental company was as well. Well appointed kitchen with all the pots, pans, etc needed (not always the case in these type of rentals!) Very comfortable and well kept condo! Bonus to have covered parking. Check in was easy. Requested late check out at front desk and they approved it, but then got rude call from property manager on check out day because we weren't out at usual check out time. Communication should have been more clear about whom to ask for late check-out- or insure front desk does not approve it if they do not have the authority to do so. ##### blaire b. This unit needs maintenance done on both bathroom faucets and shower heads. All are nearly plugged from mineral deposits and water flow is barely enough to wash hands.
