This 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom newly updated condo is clean, comfortable, near downtown shops and restaurants and trail systems. There are only 5-8 stairs leading up to the condo. Inside the home, the main level includes a large, open living room with TV, wood burning fireplace, plus a ‘hidden’ old-school turntable with vinyl tunes under the spiral stairs. Adjacent to the living room is a dining room with a table for six. The galley style kitchen includes a full compliment of appliances, ample cookware and utensils. Main level also has the twin bedroom plus 3/4 bathroom. Upstairs is a large king bedroom with sitting area, electric fireplace and 3/4 bathroom. This unit has been recently remodeled, so waiting on updated photos of the new bathroom upstairs. Outside the front entry to this home, is an open balcony, with outdoor cafe table and chairs to provide outdoor living space and the firewood supply. There are only 5-8 stairs leading up to this condo. LOCATION: Ferringway is just a 5-minuts drive to historic downtown Durango and the Durango Train, plus restaurants, shops and entertainment. Driving about 30 minutes to the north takes you to Purgatory Ski Resort and the high San Juan Mountains. Mesa Verde National Park, a noted World Heritage Site, is about a 40-minute drive to the West. Hillcrest Golf Club is a five-minute drive from this condo, as is the main campus of Fort Lewis College. It was well appointed with supplies and was as spacious as we expected. The place was easy to find and minutes from great restaurants, white water rafting and the historic & beautiful downtown. The little reading book in master bedroom was delightful. The view isn’t great- surrounded on all sides by other condos, but it wasn’t a deal killer. Pool was in great condition. The upstairs toilet does make quite a racket but it didn’t disturb anyone downstairs. The location was great…just a few minutes from downtown, but quiet and peaceful. The unit was super clean, well-appointed, and featured great amenities. Was a quick drive to everything we needed and easy to get to San Juan National Forest and Mesa Verde. Great hiking and biking trail right behind the condo. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The apartment itself is very nice and comfortable. Missing a few minor things, like bath mats and kitchen sponge or dish cloth.
