Beautiful home in quiet neighborhood
Beautiful old home with many period furnishings, fixtures and decorations. The separate bathroom was modern. It was an easy drive into town and conveniently located for our visit to the Penguin Place and Albatross sanctuary. The hosts were a great help and a pleasure to spend time with.

Certainly a unique home and I enjoyed my stay. I selected this place for its convenience to the highway as I was just traveling through. I loved my accommodations, the owners were so nice, and the breakfast was so nice before I headed back out on the road.

Fantastic home from home
Lovely friendly home from home where the host went above and beyond. We arrived very very late (my fault), woke The owner up (sorry!), he could not have been kinder or nicer. Showed us our lovely room, lovely welcome touch of a nice glass of wine (beer, coffee, tea etc with home made biscuits also put out). Breakfast was fantastic...lovely fresh fruit, juice, coffee, freshly cooked bacon and eggs, toast croissant etc.. Given full details of local area, things to do etc. A lovely welcoming non corporate home from home.

Couldn't have been treated better. Wonderful!
Pretty sure I already gave a review of this B&B but hotels.com asked for another. The review is the same. The house is beautiful. Sandy and Ray at so personable and helpful it felt like visiting family. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have all the amenities you would need. Selections of fare for breakfast were enough to fill us even though my travel companion had dietary issues. All in all a wonderful visit and I highly recommend this location.

Lovely friendly B&B in Dunedi
This is a lovely B&B convenient for Dunedin centre, St. Clair and the Otago peninsular. Very friendly and helpful hosts, comfortable and good breakfast.

Great B&B
We stayed two nights at this beautiful B&B. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Brent and Sandy were delightful, helpful and very gracious. The view toward the Harbor while eating breakfast or just relaxing in the parlor was a real plus. We were provided excellent advice about Dunedin and what to see. Brent also gave us more info on the All Blacks which we have become fans.

Beautiful old home in Dunedin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hazel House. The 100+ yr. old house is beautiful. The room was spacious and commodious. The public areas were beautiful and the welcoming tea and biscuits were most appreciated. The host(ess) was charming and helpful. The only negative was the lack of an en-suite bathroom, but we were given robes and had a private bath adjacent to our room. As there are only two bedrooms, the lack of privacy was not an issue (the other room has its own en-suite.) We would happily stay there again.

Nothing was too much trpuble
Right from arrival we were treated like royalty.. Paul acquired a wheelchair to get my 100 year old dad up and down the steps helping us at every turn. Glorious breakfast.

Top Notch Hazel House
Brett and Sandy were warm, engaging hosts. They have us great tips, easy to follow maps and accommodated our special requests graciously. I highly recommend Hazel House. The architecture is stunning and the amenities were comfortable. Great location for exploring the city center and Otago Peninsula.

This b&b is in a good location, with speedy access to the centre of Dunedin. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with an excellent cooked breakfast - everything we wanted for our final stay in New Zealand.

B&B on the hill
This lovely house is over one hundred years old and therefore lacks central heating and double glazing. All the rooms are large with tall ceilings. As a consequence the house is difficult to heat. Both our large bedroom and bathroom were cold as a result during our stay. The owners were extremely welcoming and we were provided with an excellent breakfast. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

A gem in Dunedin
We arrived on a cold night. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The home was very clean and warm. The bedroom was private and luxurious. It felt like a home away from home with mum to take care of every whim!

Sandy and Brent were welcoming, we immediately fell in love with the place which they ensure that we make ourselves at home. Breakfast was sumptuous while enjoying it with the town view. They took great effort in orientating us to near-by amenities and recommended places of interest around the area.

Beautiful home-away-from-home
Our warm, hosts welcomed us to their charming home with offers of a warm drink and settled us into their beautiful home on our arrival. The room was comfortable and very clean, the breakfast delicious and the hosts helpful and friendly. We felt quite at home and relaxed, yet with top-notch service. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone and would love to stay again.

The fact that they only have two rooms already counts a lot. We had the cheaper one having its bathroom outside of the room (but it was huge and has a bathtub). The view from the other room as well as from the cozy living room (where also breakfast is served) is very nice, is about the biggest house in the area; the stucco work on all the ceilings is beautiful. The owners are extremely nice and seem to like having guests in their house, caring for them. We loved it!
