This elegant 1909 Dutch Colonial Boutique Hotel is situated on two acres of private grounds in the heart of Duluth's mansion district. Just minutes from extraordinary restaurants, shops, Canal Park, and the majestic Lake Superior shore line, this property has everything you're looking for. Contained within the sprawling two acres are a pergola, gazebo, hammock, and spacious veranda allowing you to spread out and relax, as well as two electric vehicles chargers for your convenience.

This large private carriage house room features a king-size bed, private bath with walk-in shower, in-room Hydro Massage whirlpool tub for two across from an incredible ledge-rock fireplace, A/C, heated floors, leather sofa, Smart TV, kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and four person dining table. French doors open to your private deck nestled amid towering pines and park-like grounds. Fully handicap accessible. This room offers access to two acres of private grounds as well as the elegant yet comfortable common areas of the mansion.

Enjoy the benefits of our newest addition added January 2024, a custom built Heritage Cedar Sauna. Located in our backyard this Barrel Sauna can fit up to 4 people.

This property is intended for adult getaways, no persons under the age of 16 are permitted. We respect our guests privacy but are available if needed, our direct contact information will be provided with your booking confirmation. The primary form of communication, including check in information, will be through the booking platform and/or email. You will receive your check in information 1 day prior to your arrival date. Check in is at 4pm.

***Please note AC is a seasonal amenity provided from mid May to mid October.

Poorly cleaned

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the property. Both the sheets and several towels had hair on them. The counter was dirty, as well the sponge left at the kitchen sink. I’m not usually one to complain in a public forum as I tend to extend grace knowing that I’m not perfect either. It was just disappointing that I didn’t feel like I could relax after seeing what I saw, especially when you pay extra for the experience of staying somewhere that looked cool!

Here from the US

We had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect. We hopped into a bakery for breakfast then walked to the castle. There’s quaint shops and plenty of restaurants and pubs. Yvonne was a very conscientious host and the place had what we needed for our 5 day stay.
