This property was incredible. It is obviously newly remodeled because everything is so clean and beautiful. New towels, new dishes, new bedsheets. It was so comfortable for our family of 6, but it could’ve fit many more people. There is a brand new pack-n-play and high chair seat- this was such a wonderful surprise for us. You should know the bunkhouse rooms are not attached to the main living area. This made me uncomfortable putting younger kids in those rooms, but it’d be perfect for teens or adults. My 3 kids were perfectly happy sleeping in the loft while the baby had the crib in the main area so we did not need the bunkhouses. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some essentials like cooking spray and coffee. Plenty of dishes for entertaining and even crockpots. We used the grill every night and wanted to use the smoker, but the only grocery store in town didn’t have much variety. All the grill/smoker tools were there, even wood chips.
The laundry was either new or in excellent shape and soap was provided.
The hot tub was our favorite part. It was amazing to soak and let the kids play after long days of hiking. While in the hot tub we saw deer and some horses grazing nearby.
The main house does nothing have air conditioning, but I’m not sure about the bunkhouses. There are lots of fans though and with open windows, it was certainly comfortable.
You are located just a few blocks from the Main Street in town. Couple notes on the town- most restaurants seem to close early so don’t wait too long to eat! There is one grocery store in town. It is quite small, pricey, and not much variety. The people of DuBois are so nice and interesting. The next-door neighbor is a real cowboy and we enjoyed a fire with him and his family one night. They were the nicest people I’ve ever met and it was a highlight of our trip.
Kurt was extremely attentive and a pleasure to work with. Overall, you should book this house. It exceeded all my expectations.
