Lovely hotel

Posted 09-Nov-2015
Pros: The staff and the rooms.
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Location: Located in Dublin 4 - nice friendly area.
Excellent hotel - only downside is lack of tea and coffee in the rooms. Otherwise great staff, great rooms and really comfortable beds. Ideal location for the Aviva stadium and 20 minute walk to central Dublin (Taxi 8 to 10 Euro).

Poor value for money

Posted 08-Nov-2015 on Hotels
I only used the hotel because my usual hotel was fully booked on the 3rd night of my stay in Dublin. Compared to my other hotel, The Herbert Park was overpriced for a 'room only' stay - more than twice the price of 2 nights in my usual hotel. The Reception staff on checkout were not at all helpful or friendly and it was a poor experience for me.

marathon weekend.

Posted 30-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Had a very good stay at the Herbert Park hotel during the Dublin Marathon long weekend. The staff were accommodating and the facilities flawless. The atmosphere was a little formal for us but everyone was still very nice. Food in the bar was okay, but the selection was limited. Location for the marathon could not have been better!

Nice business hotel

Posted 29-Oct-2015 on Hotels
The staff was very nice and willing to help with every problem we had. We arrived to the hotel around 1 pm but the staff gave us a room although the check in time starts at 3pm. The breakfast was very tasteful and there were plenty of variations. We also enjoyed a nice glass of wine and light meal and it was as delicious as the breakfast. The only downside of the hotel was it location. It is located 3 km from the city and temple bar -area. So there were not much shops for clothing (we didn't see any) but few good restaurants were right by the hotel. We usually walked (a straight Road) to the city and took a taxi back to the hotel (app. 15€).

Hotel staff were a little clinical there was no real friendliness. no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Couldn't get out of the car park even having paid the €12 charge - if you are staying in the hotel surely parking should be free?? Overall nice hotel but the little things are what make a stay and they seem to have neglected these.

Good location with modern rooms

Posted 14-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Good location, Modern, clean and spacious room. Shame there was no full length mirror in the room or or shaving mirror in the bathroom. Good room service.
