We stayed here because of the decent pricing. The hotel has been recently remodeled and looks great. We did get a leap card that allowed us to travel the city via the buses out front, but we also walked to the city center a couple times which was not a bad walk provided the weather is decent. It is about a 20-30min. walk into town, but it's a straight shot so it's hard to get lost. All major buses stop right out front which is also helpful! The problem I have is with the hotel staff. When we asked for recommendations no one could give us any unless we told them specifically what we are looking for. I shouldn't have to tell the concierge that I want a mid-priced hamburger within walking distance in order to get a recommendation. We asked for a recommendation on an authentic Irish bar and they couldn't name a single one. I also recommend avoiding the hotel restaurant/bar like the plague. We were tired one night so we decided to call it an early night and go down to the bar for dinner. Not only was it the world's slowest service, but they messed up our order 3 times. I had to tell 2 different people each time in order to get them to re-make it. When it came back wrong the third time I gave up and just ate the subpar food. We also went for drinks to the bar earlier in the week, which was fine...just skip the food. There's also not many restaurants in the area so if you like to eat late like us, plan on ordering Domino's. Definitely not my top choice next time we're in Dublin!
