all the staff were so kind to us - I was there with 2 children and they couldn't have made us feel more easy and welcome.

We stayed here because of the decent pricing. The hotel has been recently remodeled and looks great. We did get a leap card that allowed us to travel the city via the buses out front, but we also walked to the city center a couple times which was not a bad walk provided the weather is decent. It is about a 20-30min. walk into town, but it's a straight shot so it's hard to get lost. All major buses stop right out front which is also helpful! The problem I have is with the hotel staff. When we asked for recommendations no one could give us any unless we told them specifically what we are looking for. I shouldn't have to tell the concierge that I want a mid-priced hamburger within walking distance in order to get a recommendation. We asked for a recommendation on an authentic Irish bar and they couldn't name a single one. I also recommend avoiding the hotel restaurant/bar like the plague. We were tired one night so we decided to call it an early night and go down to the bar for dinner. Not only was it the world's slowest service, but they messed up our order 3 times. I had to tell 2 different people each time in order to get them to re-make it. When it came back wrong the third time I gave up and just ate the subpar food. We also went for drinks to the bar earlier in the week, which was fine...just skip the food. There's also not many restaurants in the area so if you like to eat late like us, plan on ordering Domino's. Definitely not my top choice next time we're in Dublin!

I love Clayton Hotel in Burlington Road

Posted 23-Apr-2017
Pros: As above
Cons: installation of air conditioning to all rooms
Location: Walking distance to St Stephens Green and therefore close to the city center, nice restaurants, and Catholic church. Bus and airport coach is infront
I stayed in the hotel for 7 nights. The staff are pleasant, attentive, and are willing to listen to what the costumers have to say. The room we were first assigned was not that great but when I told the front desk my situation, the staff readily accommodated my request. The hotel was clean and the housekeeping staff were all over the place doing their chores. The food was not particularly appealing but it was not an issue with me since the hotel is walking distance to numerous restaurants. I would check in to this hotel when I come back to Dublin.

Visiting Dublin

Posted 22-Apr-2017
Pros: Quiet, clean, good value, convenient
Cons: Have room ready earlier - especially when they knew when we were arriving.
Location: Convenient to catch buses to city centre or to walk places like St. Stephen's Green and Grafton St.
Very comfortable room, quiet and away from noise. Decent view of Dublin skyline, quiet neighborhood. Convenient to buses & walking. Good value for money. Appreciated fridge in room.

Nice hotel, AirCoach from airport stops right in front (to the airport, walk one block to the stop), taxis out front if needed. Very friendly and helpful staff, snack bar/coffee bar in lobby if needed.

Lovely hotel and in close to Dublin centre

Posted 15-Apr-2017
Pros: Rooms good size, plenty of selections for breakfast. Staff all very pleasant.
Cons: Make sure the telephone number quoted on Expedia is the number for this hotel and not the number for sister hotel in ballsbridge.
Location: Walk to Dublin centre in 15/20 minutes where you will find all!
Lovely hotel, if having breakfast either pay in advance or at hotel reception. If you pay in restaurant, you will pay extra! Also, do note that while they do have sports bar ( which does do very good food) there is no restaurant for the evenings. This was not an issue for us.

Dublin Hotel

The location of this hotel is perfect; its in close proximity to the city centre. My room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable with high quality bed linen. I also enjoyed an excellent buffet breakfast
