The room was clean, the bed comfy and the shower was nice. All the important things you care about after a long day of riding a motorcycle in beautiful Pennsylvania. What makes the Royal Inn so great is the restaurant and lounge open Tuesday to Saturday. Rich and Nicole are amazing servers and the food is excellent. Have been 3 times this summer to the Royal Inn- there will be more visits from Canada

Great old-style motel. Well maintained with very helpful staff. Room was very clean, quite, and even featured a very silent refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Definitively a great place to stay when interested exploring the area.

We were looking for a place to stay in the Ridgway and St. Mary’s area. We found this place on the site with good reviews. The location was ideal for our travel and plans, accessible to several small towns. Room was clean and comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We interacted with other patrons and felt safe there. The restaurant and bar in the lobby area were excellent as well!

The waitress had to check us in so it took a few minutes for her to be free. She directed us to pull around to the "back building". But we decided to eat right away. Small dining room, but the food was quick and good. We had arrived after dark and missed the narrow driveway along the main building. We drove around back into a large area and first impressions were not positive. However, our room was on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and the balcony hallway was protected by glass (or heavy plastic). Once in the room, we heard no road noise, and were very surprised to see our car was the only one left in the morning as we heard no engine or door noise from the other vehicles we had seen when we arrived. Water was immediately hot and shower was very good. (No blowdryer.) Breakfast was cold cereal, pastry and coffee/tea. If you book, I would suggest requesting a 2nd floor room in the back, as a room out front of the motel would be quite noisy with highway traffic right there. This is a simple hotel (price reflects that) but I learned first impressions aren't always accurate. With my room suggestion, I would book here again.

Stayed here many times and will again. A basic motor lodge. Clean rooms, hot water and a comfortable bed. If you don't need a conference center, exercise room and pool this is the place. Of course you also don't get the high price that comes with all the unnecessary amenities.
