Great place but staff needs training
Return trip after many years. Hear/see ocean from room. Wildlife easily spotted.housekeeping and gardens were very clean. Rooms well constructed especially bathroom ( nothing fancy but solidly built). Customer service and waitstaff need hospitality training. Guests seemed like an inconvenience.(Booking and administration were very responsive helping with Corcovado tour. ) Unfortunately,if the only contact a guest has is with employees that seemingly don’t want to be there then the whole place will fail. They were not busy so no excuse

The property is beautifully located on top of a hill with great view of the ocean. The food was very good too. The rooms on the edge are amazing. Unfortunately my friend had $400.00 taken from our room while we ate breakfast. Leaving money in your room is never a great idea but it is still very disappointing that the staff are not trustworthy. The basically told us it was our fault. Once this happened we were made to pay cash for everything because they were worried we wouldn't pay our bill. My advise is even though you are made to feel at home you are not and need to heed the warning and always lock up all you valuables all the time, even if for only a little amount of time.

The best thing to do when booking this property is to have the right expectations. Its remoteness is its best quality but requires a boat ride (unless taking the much longer back road) and you will need to haul your luggage up the hill about a quarter mile, which may be difficult if you have any mobility issues. Amenities are light but are all you need! The property is absolutely stunning. You can sit on your bungalow porch and watch macaws, white face monkeys, toucans and a wide assortment of wildlife go past you all day. The staff are incredible and work hard to make sure everyone is well fed and tsken care of. The cold beer was appreciated. Again, expectations: if you have questions or need information about tours, boat times and meals or amenities you will need to find the host and ask. Perhaps more than once. There is be better communication to guests but watching the ocean ans sunset from the main lodge with a red wine in hand makes you forget about that. Fantastic place and relaxing. Did i mention you have multiple beaches to yourself due to its remoteness?
