Room was comfortable, everything new and high tec. Shower is located in room, not in separate bathroom and is enclosed in glass so you have to be very friendly with your roommate. Beautiful building, great restaurant/coffee spot and pool, bar on roof. It's kind of a hipster scene.
Overall, the hotel was very nice. The pool party on Sunday is very popular. The crowd is young, mid 20s. The hotel staff is helpful. If you are not familiar with the downtown LA area, please familiarize yourself about the area before going for walks.
Stayed here w my daughter and 2 others. The hotel is charming and eclectic. Dated but not too bad. Felt like I was in a pension in Barcelona. With that mentally, we were happy to be there and didn't get caught up staring at dated parts of the room. One block from Stales center was awesome. One block the other direction for a great shopping afternoon. Restaurant options everywhere. Easy parking next door only $24 overnight. The pool area was quiet and great if you wanted to hang. The breakfast was very good. I'd go back for the price and location. Only $200 per night versus $400-500 for other chain hotels.
The hotel was pretty good overall. The hotel was a little bit older. But, the hotel was very convenient. It was near all the best japanese restaurants, and also near a good shopping area. It was right across the best Ramen place in the whole California. Overall I would recommend this place!
