Our room with a king bed was spacious and comfortable. We chose to have housekeeping each day of our 4 day stay, so there were fresh towels each day and new cartons of water to replenish those we used. The restaurant food was expensive but plentiful, well prepared, and delicious. We were traveling with children and found the staff accommodating to our needs for room service and food allergies. The location was convenient to shopping on Walnut and Chestnut Streets and and also to the museums along the Parkway and a just a short walk away from Reading Terminal Market and the historic district in Old City. I would return to this hotel and highly recommend it to other travelers.

The hotel is nice and clean with good toiletries, towels, hair dryer etc. we were quite comfortable and appreciated the convenient location. We walked to restaurants and left the car in the garage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our food and drinks at the lobby bar as well. Would definitely stay here again.

The grounds of the property are beautiful….lots of pretty flowers and greenery. The host and hostess were very friendly and welcoming. The place is a converted barn from 65 years ago, therefore, the bathrooms were on the smaller side (we stayed in Rowland’s room, which is one of the smaller rooms and was the owner's bedroom as a child) and I’m assuming most of the other bathrooms were small but certainly adequate. Shower was nice size with rain shower head and handheld shower. The decorating is eclectic with lots of old antiques and furnishings. Lots of interesting things to see and the owner had lots of collections on view. You had your choice of several items for breakfast….. eggs any style, omelets, pancake, waffles, and French toast. Fruit cup was very fresh and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.
