Noisy room
We were kept awake by the constant humming of the boiler below our room. We thought it was the bathroom fan but when questioned they said the boiler affects 2 rooms. No offer to change rooms was made. Do not have room 106 unless you like a bit of noise.

Great stay for the second time.
We love it here. The views are excellent. Only a 3 star but we have no problems. Evening meals are great, breakfast is to be avoided. It could do with a maintenance man on the outside: could do with painting in places and needs some gardening. As it is, it is fine but could be outstanding with not much effort. We will be going back.

Not happy atall wont be going back
The hotel stunk of curry all weekend even the fresh towels we got delivered to the door stunk to the point we had the window open all weekend and heaters on. On arrival the receptionist demanded £50 a night deposit. When using the shower the toilet backed up and had water on the floor the net curtains were missing on the balcony type room and windows covered in bird poo not happy atall

Exceptional location and staff
Service was exceptional due to our urgency of need to have a place to stay for 2 nights. Location was excellent and a sea view is highly recommended.

Ok for a night's sleep, needs thicker walls.
Nice view, but building structure is pretty old, walls are extremely thin. We could hear our neighbour snoring at night, and hear our neighbours going up/down stairs, opening and closing doors as if they were within our room.

Family friendly hotel right by the beach with nice restaurant within hotel and a bar restaurant next door. Great walks on sea wall and beside Royal Military Canal. Very friendly staff .

Needs some attention
A typical seaside hotel, that could seriously do with some attention! We unfortunately picked one of the warmest nights of the year to stay at the hotel and the people in the next room to us deemed that non-smoking in the hotel means that you can lean out of the window and smoke and throw the dog-ends on to the ledge. They were also talking to each other whilst hanging out of the window till 3:00 a.m.When we reported this the next morning we were told that there was no-one in the room? Were they ghosts or could it have been the staff? Basically the reception did not want to know!

Hotel very dated and not enough parking.it was clean and food was good .no air con just small fan. The receptionist and resterant waiter very friendly and helpful. Could do with someone on reception early in morning.

The hotel was in a great location near the beach. check in was easy and quick, staff were helpful and polite. our room was a compact double with sea view, so expected it to be fairly small. sea view was a disappointment, as workers were fitting new decking and cutting wood outside our room. Room was noisy at night with sounds of a generator constantly working. so room was a bit lacking, to say the least. But for one night, it was okay. would not liked to have stayed longer, and will not be returning to this hotel.

Lovely views , pleasant receptionuist and comfortable beds . We had a family room. We had not been informed this was over two floors with a narrow staircase .The toilet was upstairs causing my wife difficulties as she is disabled and struggles with stairs. This should have been highlighted in advance . The breakfast service wss awful. We arrived at 9.10. The buffet wss largely empty, there were no cups and the coffee was cold . We were the only people left to ve served but the cooked breakfast took 20 minutes to come .We then found they had cleared away the toast facilities and the continental breakfast items. Not worth what we paid

Ghost hotel
Great location, tired hotel with 1 staff member on duty to sort out bar and reception etc.... all lights permanently turned off in all areas on the way to the room... honestly felt like a hotel preparing to close down imminently..

The reception staff was excellent. We felt at ease. An old style hotel, clean and warm. Comfortable beds. What else can you expect at this very reasonable price. Great stay close to the Eurotunnel and opportunity for a stroll along the beach.
