We found the cottage to be cozy and centrally located. Ok, so the stairs creaked ever time you went up or down but it’s a little old cottage so that just added to the atmosphere. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus as was the dishwasher in the kitchen. In fact the cottage had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. And with M&S and tescos in nearby Dunblane shopping was easy. Doune itself has so many interesting places nearby that we easily filled in our days. We would stay in the cottage again for sure and will recommend it to our friends.
Perfect place to make as your base, cafe, pubs, shops, castle all within walking distance. Easy drive to Glasgow and Edinburgh, plus lots of villages and lochs.
This is a quiet and spacious holiday cottage with 2 bath/shower rooms and 3 bedrooms. There is a nice pub and an Italian restaurant within walking distance which both serve excellent food. Lots to do locally or is a short drive from the Trossachs for walking and biking opportunities.
