Romantic Cottage directly on private Double Bay Beach, Bahamas, "Senza Nome"

  • Double Bay beach cottage is right on the dune, just steps away from the water. Built in the 1940s, it was the very first structure on Double Bay. The porch provides lovely views up and down the beach. A great place to read, have lunch or relax with a rum punch.
    The cottage consists of a living room with kitchenette; a bedroom with a queen size bed, bureau and a nook with shelves, hanging rod and hooks; and a small bathroom with shower. There's also an outdoor shower at the back door, thatched Bahamian style.

Perfect Couples Getaway!

This is our second time staying at the Cottage at Senza Nome! We love it. Charming, cozy, rustic and the best ocean views I’ve ever had. Sleeping to the sound of the waves, the beauty of the property and centrally located, this place is close to perfect!

This was our 4th time to stay on the beautiful island of Eleuthera and it amazes us every time. We stayed in both the cottage and the studio and both were clean and stocked with everything you need. Incredible Paradise

1952 Cottage that had everything you could possibly want. The view is spectacular - you can't get much closer to the beach than this place. We love love love staying here and will be back again next year for our third stay.

You can't get closer to the beach than this cottage. From the porch facing the waves, there is total privacy. The mid-Eleuthera location makes everything easy to get to. Ten Bays beach is 5 minutes away.

My husband and I loved our stay at Senza Nome, right on a beautiful blue ocean. Everything you need if you decide to cook meals at cottage. Ten bay beach 10 mins away is calm and shallow water and you can walk out along way. Many places to eat close by, great food. We can't wait to visit again!

Perfect getaway

The location of this little cottage could not have been more perfect. We checked out several other beaches on the island and honestly felt like this was the best! The house is nothing fancy but had everything we needed and was perfect for us. It is a clean, quaint little cottage with a beautiful view of the beach right out the back door. Will definitely be back.

Ideal Beach Cottage

This is what we have been searching for our whole lives. Rustic, clean, comfortable, well appointed cottage directly on secluded beach. Miles of sand framing azure waters. Grounds are a botanical garden of hundreds of palms. Private setting on a good road convenient to local shops & Gov Harbor. We will be a back for a much longer stay.

Loved our stay at Senza Nome! Steps away from the ocean and the view from the porch was fabulous! Enjoyed chilling on the porch listening to the ocean. The beach cottage was adorable. The property manager was wonderful…..she had the internet up and running a few minutes after we arrived. Definitely planning to return.

Location, location, location!

We have visited Eleuthera many times and love the island! This was our first stay on this side of Double Bay and WOW! The beach is beautiful and very private with incredible snorkeling along the entire stretch. The house was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. All properties were rented out during our stay, but we still had all the privacy we wanted! Loved the charm and history of the place and the central location made shopping, dining, and sightseeing easy. The AC worked great and the bed was super comfy!

We had another amazing stay at this amazing cozy cottage! Words can't describe how much we love this place! The cottage is lovely ~ has everything you need, super clean, comfortable, and private. It's conveniently located to explore the island & nearby to excellent grocery options. The Senza Nome property is beautiful & well maintained & Double Bay beach is perfection. This visit, we had the opportunity to meet the owners - they were so kind & welcoming. We have fallen in love with Eleuthera & while we have stayed at other properties/ areas on the island ~ once we found this perfect cottage ~ there's no other place we would rather stay. We're already planning our next trip & can't wait to return. Thank you!

Like your own piece of heaven

We came here to celebrate our daughter’s graduation with her. As soon as we arrived she couldn’t stop saying “wow” and “it’s so amazing!” The views right from the little cottage make you feel like you are in a movie. The hosts were incredibly helpful, checked in on us and gave us great tips on where to go in the area. We felt very safe and at home right away. We will be back!!
