This place is amazing, warm, cozy and in a beautiful setting. Mike was a great host and I loved his place. I was there on a hunting trip and 1000's of acres of beautiful Mark Twain National Forest abuts the property. Lots of wildlife and North Fork of the White River is only 3 miles away. It's a true nature lover's perfect place.
We absolutely adore Jimmy's cabin and consider it one of our favorite getaways. This was our second visit, and we're already eagerly planning our third! It's the perfect sanctuary to unwind from city life, as all stress simply melts away upon arrival. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked with every imaginable item, from kitchen essentials to board games. The tranquil outdoor space offers breathtaking views and is conveniently located just minutes from Mark Twain National Forest. This place is absolutely fantastic, a must-visit! Thank you again for yet another incredible stay!
The stay was beautiful and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Suggest bringing a fan to push air to upstairs loft. 10/10 recommend and will be back. Teenagers even had a good time!

We had an amazing stay over the Thanksgiving week/weekend. The cabin was impeccable and had an assortment of games for the kids to play! We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us!
I took my son up for the youth turkey weekend. I chose Mike's cabin due to its proximity to the public hunting land. The cabin is fully furnished and has some very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay. P.S. My 10-year-old harvested his first turkey on our trip.
This property was excellent. We went for a weekend float trip at nearby North Fork River. The cabin offered just the right amount of creature comforts with all the benefits of being in nature. It was clean, cool, and the hosts were very communicative. Would definitely go back if we find ourselves in the area again.
Cabin is as described. Host is very accessible and accommodating. Great location if you are planning to spend some time on the river and want to be away from the hustle and bustle.
We had a great time at the cabin. Played in the River fishing and swimming. Nice dinners in an easy to use and comfy kitchen. Cabin is quaint and charming. Loved the grill and all the family time playing games in the evenings!
The cabin was well decorated, comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The pellet grill was easy to use and worked great. We even saw a flying squirrel while hanging out on the fro t porch one evening. This is a good location for fishing or floating the North Fork of the White River.
If you want a relaxing weekend this is the cabin for you. The beautiful landscape and trails around the area gives you a ton of free activities to do. Mike answers quickly when any questions arise. Hands down one of the most relaxing weekends i have had. The cabin has all the needs you want.
Boy let me tell you mikes property is absolutely stung the work done on the Cabin in 1977 is flawless and the land around even better with trails and the river near by you can’t beat this place very homey vibe with a lot of clarity to offer thanks Mike!
We came out for a week of hunting. Unfortunately the weather was awful. That’s no fault to Mike, he went above and beyond to help us out. The cabin is secluded but convenient to west plains. Will definitely book again.
I enjoyed the cabin because it was peaceful and there was little access to wifi or cell service. I am appreciative of having some supplies available such as coffee, hair dryer and snacks. I wish I could have stayed longer, but we had a short trip. The neighbors were friendly, the gate code was easy to access as well as the keys.
This cabin is located on a peaceful plot of land way back in the woods. We enjoyed making fires, sitting outside, and grilling on the patio. We can't figure out how the owners keep everything so clean. There weren't even cobwebs or nests on the exterior of the cabin. The inside was clean and has everything you need. Also, Mike was great to communicate with.
Very cute tiny cabin. We had plenty of firewood for our late night fireside sitting. The fireplace is gorgeous.
The tub was a little tricky to navigate and a little too short for my spouse. The spiral staircase took some getting use to.
Definitely an unplugged experience. Very limited cell phone service with T-Mobile. What did we do back in the old days??? Smile.
This is a cute little cabin, perfect for a 49th anniversary trip. We spent most evenings sitting outside on porch, waiting for sasquatch (Big Foot) to show up he never did. That is how far out from everything felt, but the owners house was just a couple blocks down the lane through the trees. It contains a well equipped kitchen for meal prep, games for entertainment which were not needed, just sitting outside listening to the sounds of the forest was entertainment enough. I know I heard the trees take a deep sigh, just before the rain started. Listening to the rain drop through the leaves without the sounds of a city, yeah. Finding out we could both sleep together in a full bed was Great! It is a cozy, clean, and very comfortable cabin for our celebration. AC worked great, cellphone service was adequate when needed,(there were storms that rolled through that added to the whole atmosphere), hiking trail just to the North of the property (150' maybe) on Mark Twain National Forest, and best of all, no TV, no internet service. Just us and the sounds of Nature. Be sure to have insect repellent though, them little critters are hungry. Sorry for being long winded on this, but we thoroughly enjoyed the trip, the sites, but the greatest pleasure was to get back to the cabin and just sit out on the front porch with the wine we purchased here and there. Thanks to the Henry's for providing us with this cabin.
Beautiful home in the perfect tranquil setting to relax and unwind from the daily stress of life. No TV so it is extremely peaceful. We did have cell service though.
