"Probably one of the best place we've stayed. Very clean spacious room and comfortable beds. We were a family of 4 with two teens. Had kitchen with everything, we had breakfast at our balcony with breathtaking view. Dinner was lovely too. I read the other reviews regarding the small size of the flat and factored this in. "Stayed 2 nights in early September and overall a wonderful stay. 12-15 minute walk to hidden Entrance 3 of the park through a quiet neighborhood. It’s not really close to any other restaurants without going to another vacation rental so we ate on site both nights. You can customize your dinners to have a 1,2 or 3 course home cooked meal. "We were visiting from Canada with family. Mate, your host, is most accommodating. The place is quite new and suited us perfectly. It is just North and only 9 minutes drive to entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes National Park and therefore a great staging ground for a day trip there. The room is clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. While it is possible to enter the park at 7am and start hiking and have breakfast at one of the restaurants inside, we suggest a more leisurely breakfast with Mate and then head on to the park. He provided a perfectly good meal with lots of fruit, bread, eggs, sausages, ham, mushrooms, and vegetables. Coffee machine is available. Wish we could stay longer there. Thank you Mate. You are a good man!"

The property is about a 15 minute drive from entrance 1 to the lakes, but don’t miss the opportunity to use entrance 3, a 5 minute drive from the property. We checked out and drove to this entrance at about 9am and got parked right outside. We had already bought our tickets online. If we were going to visit the lakes again, we’d definitely stay here."
