Le Clos de Bard is a magnificent villa located in the Périgord Noir region of the Dordogne. This villa, built of local stone and featuring a square tower, is situated on a 50-hectare private estate. Beyond it lies a view of the medieval village of Domme. <br>The villa has been a source of joy for the family for nearly 57 years. The flowers and fruit trees were chosen with great care and love. Upon the owner’s passing in January 2022, his daughter Therese and her husband Jurgen turned Clos de Bard into a holiday rental.<br>All around are lush green meadows and small woods where our two horses roam. The villa is automatically lit from sunset until sunrise. <br>The private road leading to the villa is lined with majestic fir trees. Parking is not an issue. <br>At the entrance, there is a Ring camera and a key box outside for your security.<br>You can also contact us 24 hours a day if necessary.<br>The five bedrooms each have a smart TV and an USB-C port for your electronic devices. We ask that you please do not unplug the outlets throughout the villa, as there are 9 Wi-Fi hotspots located throughout the property. You’ll enjoy a strong signal at all times thanks to the high-speed Starlink satellite internet system.<br>We provide all bedding, and the beds will be made for your arrival. There are plenty of terry towels for the bathroom, bath, and pool.<br>On the ground floor, there is an air-conditioned bedroom with two 150 beds and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a toilet and sink. There are hair dryers in every bathroom.<br> On the second floor, all bedrooms have a 150-bed, and two of the bedrooms also have a single bed. There are two bathrooms with toilets on the second floor. <br>Six fans are available for your use. <br>Upon request (a portable cot and a small portable high chair).<br>On either side of the villa are large walnut staircases. From the top of the tower, there is a stunning 360-degree view. <br>The modern kitchen features an oven, induction cooktop, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher (we provide dishwasher detergent pods). <br>There is a table and chairs for 6 in the kitchen. . We provide salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar; Sanseo coffee pods; milk; biscotti or madeleines; jam; and a bottle of water.<br> The kitchen opens onto a small outdoor patio that has been converted to provide shade. It is furnished with a table and 6 chairs, all in the shade.<br>The large dining room features a large microwave and a glass coffee station. <br>There is also a small table with small chairs for children. <br>We provide a children’s dining set.<br>The large, air-conditioned living room with its bookshelf has a television and a printer.<br>From the living room, sliding doors open onto a 50-square-meter terrace with a shade sail. There is a large table that seats 10, along with 10 chairs, as well as additional chairs for relaxing and enjoying the superb view.<br>From the terrace, it feels like looking at a painting.<br> There is an electric grill on the terrace. We provide paper napkins, plates, and plastic cups for your picnics.<br>We have a large laundry room downstairs with a washing machine and dryer; we provide detergent and fabric softener sheets.<br> The lush green meadows and, in the distance, atop the hill, lies the medieval village of Domme with its round-towered gate. When you visit the village of Domme, you’ll find caves,You’ll also find the Barre de Domme, a view of the Dordogne River, and four castles. You can visit Domme, this medieval town, by passing through the beautiful Porte des Tours. There’s a lovely church, restaurants, a pizzeria, an ice cream shop, and a Vival supermarket.<br>The very famous Domme Caves and their lift. On the Place de la Barre, there’s a lookout point with a magnificent view of the entire Dordogne Valley.<br>You can go canoeing or kayaking on the Dordogne River.<br>We have a playhouse for the children.
