OK hotel near the beach, rooms near the pool are a bit small (bed is almost against the wall on one side and there's no bedside table or lamp on the other side, as there's no space), but overall a good option for staying in Uvita. Breakfast is an extra 5000 colones and has 3 options: granola with yogurt & fruit (they call is muesli but it's granola), Costa Rican (gallo pinto with eggs), and American style (eggs, bacon & toast)

Waking up with the sound and activity of the ara’s was unique. Furthermore, the apartments were clean and comfortable, service is good, locatuon is perfect, walking distance from the the beach/national park. We (family of 5) had a great time!

Everything about our stay at Tropical Beach was excellent. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and they made arrangements for us to park and receive our key after hours. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The pool was a nice respite from the heat and humidity and the restaurant on site was delicious. All that and it was affordable, comfortable, and, yes, they have hot water (I know this is an issue at some other places). We truly enjoyed our stay.

We love hotel tropical. The staff are friendly and it is close to the beach. The Jaffe restaurant right on the property is yummy. The rooms are starting to show their age. Lots of minor broken things, a ceiling fan, the window lock, etc.

Quaint hotel close to the beach. Small basic rooms at a good price. Small pool in the middle, nice restaurant. Easy walk to the beach, playa Chaman, part of the National Park. Shower did not have hot water.

Nice hotel very close to NP Ballena beach entrance. Rooms basic but clean and friendly staff. Jaffa restaurant on site serves excellent cocktails beers and dinner, although breakfast service was distinctly slow.

This place is a gem. Our room cabin number 1 was huge. Ac and hot water worked perfectly. The host was extremely helpful. We were steps from the beach, parrots flying in the early morning. The room had everything you could need. There were restaurants very nearby. And one on site. Our favorite was the Native bar next to the beach.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was welcoming and good music vibes all day. Room was super basic and I think our toilet or shower had a leak. We checked but all we could find is the water on the floor.
