Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Excellent fitness centre with large well equipped gym, squash and three indoor tennis courts! Good quality food with multiple options. Comfortable room with sitting area, balcony and large bathroom. Enjoyable beach and pool areas. On the minus side, room not soundproof, a bit noisy air con.

Excellent stay at the Sheraton! The hospitality and amenities were outstanding and we can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay extremely enjoyable in particular we appreciated the upgrade to a sea view which made this stay perfect in every sense. amazing hotel. near the airport so convenient. upon early morning arrival rooms were ready no fuss. great sea view. beach was fab with clear seas and amazing beach cafe foodservice. staff at the beach amazing and helpful to make sunloungers and provide food and snacks especially by ismail and mohammad. surrounded by beautiful city lights at night. the sea was nice and the relaxing to swim in. pools sauna and jacuzzi was very good. the room was as clean ok daily basis and rasa was amazing at his job. even made us welcoming towel owl on the bed. the breakfast was very good with large selection of foods. kaka was very helpful with booking taxis. overall amazing hotel , amazing staff, amazing facilities. and best of all amazing country. thank you qatar and sheraton for a memorable holiday. 🇶🇦

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever had the chance to stay in. Although established in 1979, everything in and around it seems brand new. Boasting a fantastic atrium, the hotel in itself is a true landmark of the city and indeed of the country. Besides being close to everything, it also has everything you need in itself - fabulous beach and pool, excellent restaurants, gym and sports fields, and all sorts of other services. For these, it serves as a destination for locals as well as hotel guests. The hotel is quiet, elegant and luxurious, the rooms and the views are breathtaking and the staff is the epitome of client service - I really want to mention Maegan from Reception who is by far one the best hotel staff I have ever met and also Melissa. They insured my check in and four-night stay went smoothly and they also let me check out at 5pm instead of 12, as my plane would take off late in the evening - thanks guys! I've taken full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet and it was some of the best food I've ever had. If you're ever in Doha, this is the place to go to - I loved it!

Where do I start? The stay was amazing. The hotel was fantastic. We were staying for an anniversary and they went above and beyond to make our stay extremely enjoyable. They decorated the bed before check in with a lovely display of rose petals and swan towels, along with a welcome home message. Further to that they even provided us with a special anniversary cake which was a complete surprise. Shortly after checking in and going to the room we even received a welcome phone call from the receptionist Maegan to check in on us after viewing the room. This was a great touch and made us feel welcomed. The breakfast buffet was sublime. There were so many things to choose from, with many different styles and types of food. The breakfast staff were extremely friendly and constantly looking to provide any assistance, always willing to spend a little time getting to know you and make you comfortable. Can't fault the staff in the slightest. The hotel grounds were amazing. There was so much to do that we felt we didn't even get to experience all of it as our stay was so short. Although there were many people it never felt crowded. The pools and beach were all very clean. The pool staff were very friendly and always willing to lend a hand by fetching towels, or providing you with cold water. The food at the pool cafe was extremely good and it felt like it was very much worth the money. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

The team was Amazing. Big shout out to MAROUANE,Amina,ELNEHDI , THANKGOD, CLEMENCE your restaurant staff , security entrance staff . Well care facilities even though it’s one of the first hotels 🏨 in DOHA, I will recommend anyone to stay at the Sheraton in DOHA .. thx I had a great birthday thx for the cake and birthday card nice touch ! I stayed at the meridian in Montecarlo last year for my birthday and is not as quality guest oriented like the Sheraton! Love it ! Thx so much ! Beautiful beach and relaxing atmosphere 🙏🙏🙏🙏 just what I needed, I worked for KFC/TACO BELL FOR THE LAST 30 years and you guys wow me big time !!🙏🙏 room service was great and always clean 🙏🙏🙏

The property is wonderful. I loved the pool, the fitness, the tennis, the beach, the proximity to where I had to go. The rooms are a bit dated, but overall it is a great hotel and one that I would highly recommend.

Great location and view; Dated rooms
The Hotel is well located, with a gorgeous view, but the rooms are dated and the condition is not what I was expecting. The furniture was well worn and evident that it has not been refreshed in some time. The fixtures need updating, and in some cases replaced, my shower head was detached from the wall and wires were exposed in the bathroom ceiling. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming, but a large portion were not, either completely aloof or ignoring. When I checked out, despite 4 porters outside, not a single one helped with my suitcase into the car. Most of the time as I entered the hotel (passing numerous staff both outside and inside), I was rarely greeted or welcomed. Security (you have to scan your bags and pass a metal detector) just said "bags" while pointing to the x-ray machine. Not the best first impression. Finally, the hotel sent petty and conflicting emails just before arrival and just before check-out. Four days before my arrival, the Hotel asked for my flight details and if I needed assistance with transportation. I assumed this meant that they would prioritize the rooms of those with earlier arrivals. I was wrong. The day before my arrival, I received another email stating that check-in was at 15.00 and if I wanted the room earlier, I should pay for the night before. I arrived at 13.30 and the room was not ready. Thankfully at 14.15 it was. The day before check out, I received another email stating I would be charged for late check outs.

Nice stay at iconic hotel in Doha
Outstandingly friendly personnel, very welcoming and clean hotel to relax and enjoy your holidays! Only negative points were the strong food smell on the balcony, the food in the sultan restaurant (nothing exceptional), the use of plastic bottles and the high price of the breakfast. But all the rest was great - many thanks!

Our attendant Ganesh was really nice and did above and beyond when I told him our bed was so soft and it hurt my husband back. He did fix it and my husband finally was sleeping comfortably. He ask as if we need anything. He is very nice and professional of his job.

The front desk at the Sheraton check-in desk made a great display of giving us a "great room", not mentioning a word about the pounding bass that would be vibrating the full balcony windows after we returned from the terrace after watching the match ending at about 11:30 pm We came back to our room just before midnight, not terribly worried about the noise level, as we surmised that the music would go off at midnight, typically of entertainment venues situated on the grounds of a hotel. But then we saw the note in the room, stating "you will be disturbed" until 3 am! The nature of hospitality, as we all know, is to "take care of our guests"; "be memorable hosts"; and take pride in those essential cornerstones of our profession. While we were accommodated with a room change after making a bit of a fuss at the front desk, it was a very unpleasant and stressful way to wind up our stay in Qatar.  And certainly, for the price of $1400 for a room, a peaceful atmosphere should be guaranteed. May we suggest that you consider the comfort and well being of EVERY guest, during the FIFA World Cup, and WHENEVER they visit.  Guests are the CORE of your existence, far more important than the fleeting enjoyment experienced by clients at a temporary music festival.

Great stay, great hotel
The Sheraton was a fantastic place, with great staff, nice beach, good pools, and easily accessible. The breakfast is also massive and well stocked, with huge variety. The rooms are large and very comfortable. But the lobby steals the show, it is breathtaking. The only downer was having to queue to go outside to the pool and beach area to get a wristband to show you were a hotel guest, because they also do day-guests. I think they should provide you with something at check in so you can just go in and out to the beach/pool whenever and as frequently as you like, without having to get a wrist band or fill a form in. But that's me being really picky!

This hotel is iconic ...one of the oldest in Doha it looks amazing when you come round the corniche at night . After all these years it takes your breath away The entrance and atrium of the hotel are impressive The rooms are good but not brilliant -and the smoking thing which people obviously do in their rooms is imposing . Lovely views and the outside area with the pool and the sea is spacious and relaxing

By mistake I left my credit card in the room and checked out. When I went to collect my credit card, I had to wait for about half an hour. In about an hour after that, some one tried to charge about $ 1,500 in two or 3 transactions. Fortunately I blocked my card and none of the transactions went through. I warned the hotel management of presence of fraudsters in their staff.
