"This was the perfect home base for our group! We were out for the WSER and it was centrally located for getting to everything as well as a comfortable place to call home for our runner and the crew! Super clean, Jerome was an excellent host and the communication was fast and too notch! The kitchen is amazing and we did a lot of cooking and relaxing together. Would highly recommend!! The big bean bag chairs were a huge hit for us after being up all night crewing! Absolutely no problems with anything! Loved it"

"A little slice of heaven in the mountains. I haven’t stayed during ski season but this lodge is part of the Sierra Club. I stayed towards end of spring/early summer and found this to be a beautiful lodge with every amenity a weekend camper or van lifer would need. They have clean bathrooms, a beautiful main room to hangout in, a kitchen room with fridge and microwave (I believe the original kitchen is no longer available unless they have events or food plans running for ski season). Breakfast was included as well and the host was very friendly! There are local hiking trails and it’s only a 10 minute drive to Donner Lake."

"Everything about the unit and property was perfect! It’s all you need for a few days stay (or longer!) at Donner Lake. The HOA keeps the entire property well maintained and clean. Access to boat, kayak, and SUP rental steps from the property. The unit was a gem with the walkout to the lake and beach area. The bed was quite comfortable as well! We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!"

"The Capone vacation rental was perfect for our active family gathering. The ample supply of “toys” plus our own ebikes and water toys felt like a shopping trip to REI! The view and peaceful lake view topped it off. We will definitely plan to return when our schedules allow and align."
