Top Diemtigtal Hotel Reviews
Essential by Dorint Interlaken
10/10 Excellent
"An excellent hotel, right in the middle of Interlaken - a stone ’s throw from Interlaken West station (the hotel literally backs onto the station platform). It has beautiful, modern, comfortable rooms with all needs catered for including lovely balconies overlooking the mountains. Our stay included breakfast with an extensive choice, and we regularly visited its lovely bar for evening drinks. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at every interaction with them. Interlaken will be a lasting memory of our holiday travelling around Europe - it’s a beautiful town and area, and our stay at the Essential by Dorint was a key part of our stay there."

Hotel Jungfraublick Wengen
8/10 Good
"We chose the forest room which overlooked a gorgeous chalet hotel. It was a peaceful atmosphere and we could sleep with our window open at night. The deck restaurant was lovely on our first nigh. I would recommend doing an RSVP as other travelers frequent the deck for dinner. They do seem to prioritize those staying at the hotel but you just make a reservation as first come first serve. Breakfast is lovely with both hard boiled and soft boil eggs, salami&cheese, yogurt, fresh bread ,fruit, coffee/tea/ovaltine/juice. We were happy we stayed in Wengen where it was quiet and much less touristy. Let’s talk LAUNDRY. It is CHF10 for 1 wash and 1 dry. ***NOTE; There is only 1 washer and 1 dryer which is a bit of an issue. *** the person on front of us had stuffed 2 baskets in. When our turn came, we set a timer to come back earlier than the dryer was set for. When we returned, someone had removed our items early and they were still damp. I used the hair dryer on several items as we had to pack them away for the trip. Trains and travel was not a problem. We used the Swiss Travel Pass with 1st Class and it was worth it. The hotel will pick you up at the train stop at the bottom of the hill, which is a huge saving with luggage. NOTE: hotel transport does NOT open until 8:00am. We had to leave at 7:30am to catch our train out and had to wheel luggage back down the hill. Overall, our stay was very nice and Wengen is a beautiful place to stay."

"The room was basic but had what you need. Very hot but it did have a fan and a large window that could be opened. Excellent breakfast!"
Hotel Du Nord
10/10 Excellent
"Great choice for us. Perfect location at main street with restaurants and stores and only 10 min by foot to Interlaken Ost train station. Welcoming and friendly staff at reception and at breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. We had a room with air condition which was important for us. The room was clean with a spacious bathroom, had a mini fridge, coffee machine and safe. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would come back by ourselves."

"Checking in with Martin was fast and he explained everything in detail. The apple juice he gave us was very good. Ricardo was very helpful as well."
Hotel Toscana
8/10 Good
"This hotel was within walking distance from the train station called Interlaken West. It is in an area with multiple restaurants, tourist shops, and a small grocery store (called coop) where we got drinks and snacks several times, including items for our breakfast. The hotel overall was clean, and our room was very clean. It was not luxurious, but it was fine. We were there at the end of July, and the weather was hot and humid. Our room did not have air conditioning. The room had 2 portable fans in it. There was a large window and a door to a small balcony, so we could open the window and door to let some air come in. However, on the ground level there were restaurants with outdoor seating, and when we wanted to go to sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 in the evening, the noise from people at the outdoor restaurant seating was very annoying if we (on third floor) had the window or door open. So, the choices were to put up with the noise of people talking and clanking dishes (it was surprisingly loud) or close up the window and balcony door and have a hot room. In cooler weather, this would not be a problem."
