"The cleaning staff stole my money from the room and hotel management did not do anything about it. The room was noisy and full of cigarette smell even the room was non smoking. "​I am extremely frustrated with my recent stay at Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort. Despite paying for my entire stay in full well in advance I was still forced to provide a cash deposit upon arrival. The front desk staff explicitly assured me that this deposit would be refunded immediately during my checkout process. ​However when I went to check out the story completely changed. They failed to return my money as promised and offered nothing but excuses. It has been incredibly difficult to get a straight answer from management and I am still waiting for the funds that are rightfully mine. ​It is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber to hold onto a guests money after a verbal and written agreement to return it. This lack of integrity and poor financial transparency has completely ruined my perception of the establishment. I would strongly advise future travelers to be wary of their deposit policies and look for a hotel that actually honors its commitments to its guests."
