Not good Customer Service

Posted 08-Dec-2016
Pros: Clean and breakfast was nice.
Cons: Well do i need to say anymore but the customer service needs to be improved on!!! The person that was rudely interrupting was Manager (sue)
Location: Very quiet location not much around local pub that about it. Nice if you want quiet a break away.
The customer service here was DREADFUL!!!! I arrived to check in. The lady was on the phone so I waited which I did not mind. Then she got off the phone apologise. As she did that another lady ask her question so she answered that. The lady was carrying on checking me in, when this other lady decided to come to the desk started to the lady who checking me & also had the cheek to say "it OK he can wait a minute" and just carried on chatting to the lady who was checking me in. They were deciding whether it was right for to park at the Hotel while the Guests flew away to go on holiday. I just felt this all could been decided after i been check in.

Half way journey to Cornwall

Posted 31-May-2015
We wanted a dog friendly hotel to break up our journey to Cornwall as it takes 4hrs from Salisbury Wiltshire. It made the journey very enjoyable and would defiantly stay again, many thanks

More than a gypsy

It may look a bit tired and be a bit off the main road, but if you are on your way to the airport want a good big comfortable room, cheap dining and great breakfast , helpful staff this is the place to stay a bargain at the price

Staff were friendly and attentive, room was clean and the bed was very, very comfortable. We had dinner there and the food, from the pate, lamb and chicken and great selection of veggies, to the sticky toffee pudding was superb. The hotel looked a little rundown but this didn't affect our stay.

Bed Bugs!

Posted 26-Oct-2007
After arriving in the afternoon, I was shown to what appeared to be a very nice room, complete with four-poster bed and view of the garden. Alas, when lay down on the bed to take in the view I looked up and noticed what turned out, upon further inspection to be a bed bug. A little further checking showed that there were plenty more around the canopy. I alerted reception immediately and I was moved to another room straight away. I acknowledge this can happen to any hotel but no attempt was made to recompense me by taking some (all?) of the bill off by management. In fact I heard nothing more about the incident thereafter, so I was pretty uinsatisfied by the whiole experience and can't imagine staying here again. Oh and it's also miles from the centre of Exeter.
