Let's do the timewarp

Posted 14-Feb-2017
Pros: Great staff. Comfortable. Decent breakfast.
Cons: Decor was a little tired which could be a problem for some people.
Location: Up a windy path and a little out of the way.
I loved this place. It felt like being back in the 1970s. From the red flocked wallpaer and white melamine french styled furniture, right through the dinner gong in the dining room; everything felt like the set of Crossroads Motel. But the room was clean. The staff were fantastic. The whole place had a great atmosphere. It was like wearing a comfortable pair of worn slippers.

Not good Customer Service

Posted 08-Dec-2016
Pros: Clean and breakfast was nice.
Cons: Well do i need to say anymore but the customer service needs to be improved on!!! The person that was rudely interrupting was Manager (sue)
Location: Very quiet location not much around local pub that about it. Nice if you want quiet a break away.
The customer service here was DREADFUL!!!! I arrived to check in. The lady was on the phone so I waited which I did not mind. Then she got off the phone apologise. As she did that another lady ask her question so she answered that. The lady was carrying on checking me in, when this other lady decided to come to the desk started to the lady who checking me & also had the cheek to say "it OK he can wait a minute" and just carried on chatting to the lady who was checking me in. They were deciding whether it was right for to park at the Hotel while the Guests flew away to go on holiday. I just felt this all could been decided after i been check in.

Quiet location and comfortable stay

Posted 20-Nov-2016 on Hotels
We stayed here just after we were married 4 years ago and loved it then. Came back and were given the same room! We asked to see a family room in case we bring our daughter next time and we were very impressed with the family rooms too. Rooms are a good size. Comfortable bedding. Lovely view out of room 11!

We wanted a dog friendly hotel to break up our journey to Cornwall as it takes 4hrs from Salisbury Wiltshire. It made the journey very enjoyable and would defiantly stay again, many thanks

More than a gypsy

It may look a bit tired and be a bit off the main road, but if you are on your way to the airport want a good big comfortable room, cheap dining and great breakfast , helpful staff this is the place to stay a bargain at the price
