The Hafod Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I absolutely loved this hotel. The only thing was having to walk from their car park to the hotel which wasn’t very well signed but in all fairness was I could have read about this before checking in. Staff were amazing and so very friendly. They were happy to help and offer advice throughout the stay. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Cocktails great and overall a beautiful stay - if I could have stayed an extra night I would have done. Our room was up in the rafters and was superb. A twin bedded room with everything you needed. The beds and pillows were lush! The bathroom was fabulous but I didn’t get a chance to use the bath unfortunately! Amazing views of the valley from the hotel and right next door to devils bridge and water falls - stunning location. Thanks so much for the best stay last weekend."

3 bedroom accommodation in Pont-Rhyd-y-Groes, near Ystrad Meurig

8/10 Good

"This is our second time at this beautiful barn & it will not be our last. We so loved & enjoyed the outside garden area with amazing views & 'wildlife' & the lovely wood fire hot tub with a undercover area which is great when it rains. It will be great when the bbq area is finished to enjoy. The barn is beautifully designed & decorated with a cosy feel. Lovely Kitchen area. Could do with some outdoor items/ utensils/ cushions etc. The main bedroom has an amazing rain fall shower & big bath tub. There are Many beautiful scenic walks from the barn. Ideal holiday if you don't mind being isolated away from the rat race. There is no mobile signal but they do have a landline. Beautiful area."
