I knew at the time of booking that the room didn't have air con. I was disappointed to find that there was no windows but patio doors instead which for obvious reasons couldn't be left open overnight. Consequently the room was very warm and sleep didnt come easily. Breakfast was really good.

Perfect location! Quaint spot just outside of the city centre close to UoB. Sam and reception staff incredibly friendly. We could have chatted for hours if we didn't have an itinerary of things we needed to complete before the end of the day! Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We stayed during the recent heatwave, and unfortunately the bedrooms did not have air conditioning, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. We were initially provided with a Dyson fan, but it wasn’t working properly. After reporting this, it was replaced with two small desk fans, which we appreciated, but they still weren’t enough to keep the room cool. Breakfast was okay overall, but I was disappointed by the lack of inclusive options. If you don’t eat pork, there were no alternative meat choices available, which felt quite limiting. I had very high expectations for The Belfry, especially given its reputation and the cost of staying there. Sadly, the experience didn’t live up to those expectations. For the price of a one-night stay, I believe there is significant room for improvement when it comes to guest comfort and the overall customer experience. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I won’t be returning.
