"Friendly staff and always willing to help. Room service is limited to maid service only and not for food orders. We particularly loved this retreat because it is true to its nature. No Wi-Fi access in the room, no TV or any landlines. Rooms could use a better gap protection at front doors and windows to keep bugs and small lizards outside the rooms. Retreat offers a variety of daily activities for kids and adults but be cautious when you venture out on the beach because the beach sand is littered with broken glass specially on the village beach that is located right next to the retreat."

"Overall enjoyed the stay at this resort. The room, location and staff were all great. The amenities are handy, the rooms are generally clean including the bedding and towels, the reef views and variety of activities available daily made it a great place to say. The only downside was the restaurant. And unfortunately this was a massive let down. It took a long time in the evening before staff would take an order for food & drinks. One night it took over 40 minutes for us to get a round of drinks ( a single bottle of wine with 2 glasses I ordered at the bar myself after not being able to flag down a staff member), the bar tender said they would bring it to the table so I waitedanother 15 minutes I returned back to the bar to get it myself. The whole process from ordering drinks and food to receiving drinks and food took about an hour and a half. Service (outside of the breakfast buffet) would take roughly an hour before. The food, when it did arrive was always average. This included undercooked fries and pizzas, old rice and bland dishes. Breakfast buffet was hit and miss too, literally 50/50. A couple of the days I stayed it was great and a couple the scrambled eggs were watery and wet or there were multiple whole yokes not mixed it. We were lucky enough to have had a hire car so we were easily able to explore other venues for food."

"It was our first stay in Fiji and Maui Palms was the most wonderful experience. The apartment, amenities and grounds were amazing. Being right on the beach was beautiful and we were able to do a lot of activities through the resort. Although the standout were all of the lovely friendly and helpful staff! "Where to start, wow, from when we were dropped off, the team was amazing. They performed a traditional warrior dance with full on costumes. The ocean views, rooms, restaurants, pool side and very warming culture make this an amazing place to go, for both families with kids, and also couples wanting a romantic few days.
