Even though I had the confirmation from Expedia, and called the day before flying to Barbados to “re-confirm”, I find out after I arrive in Barbados with two little kids that the “property would not be able to honor the reservation”. And then spent two hours with an Expedia agent on the phone trying to find a new place to stay (most places were fully booked). Terrible communication from both Expedia and the property. "No one came to welcome us but there were instructions left for us about the apartment. Some one came to see us a day later to ask if everything was OK. First impresssion is the accommodation looks very impressive with all the facilities one would want. However in the kitchen we noticed that there was a crack on the worktop surface infront of the tap. this could be a food trap and health hazard. The toilet was reluctant to stop flushing. The shower had nowhere to put soap, shampoo, razor, towel. Design configuration with shower being close to the wall. On the positive Generous size accommodation. Comfortable bed. Well appointed kitchen , but couldn't find a cutting board. Generous balcony to sit on. Ample air condition and ceiling fan. Good security. Very pretty surroundings, good access to beach. Very private accommodation."

"I went for my birthday and I was solo. The location was a bit far from tourist things to do. However, the hotel helped setup taxi and have a shuttle which I used a lot to get into town or go the beach. Akiel the driver always was on time and professional. When you first come in and see Shevika at the desk. She remembered my birthday and always kept a smile on her face."

"What a great place to stay, the villa itself is fabulous and felt like home the second we got there. Bruce responded quickly to my pre-holiday queries and Lorraine was marvellous as our host when we arrived, knowledgeable and answering any questions speedily. The villa was well stocked, beds were comfortable and everything you need is there for you. We loved the area as near to beaches, bars and restaurants, some walkable and some by local transport, always a fun experience "

Delightful garden cottage, realistically priced, near to Gibbs / Mullins beaches

"Fabulous garden cottage, literally a steady 5 minutes walk to Gibbes beach or 3 minutes to Mullins beach. Well-equipped and freshly decorated, with aircon in bedroom. Everything as described and more. Looked after by the lovely Wendy but not intrusive. Hummingbirds, green monkeys, parakeets and butterflies in abundance in the amazing garden. Such a relaxing holiday - we will be back "

"We were greeted very warmly by host, who treated us like family and was helpful in recommending nearby amenities and restaurants. The apartment was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Property located conveniently from amenities and only a few minutes away by car from beaches and several attractions found in the northern part of the island. Would book again whenever back in Barbados and highly recommend. Thank you Sam!"

"Shops and restaurants are nearby, but the walk is about 15 minutes. The kitchen appliances are old and need replacing. Pots and pans were plentiful, but cutlery and glasses were shared with upstairs unit. The beach chairs provided and the outdoor furniture was great. Thank you. The layout of the apartment and the furniture provided excellent. Wifi and TV great. No need for an alarm, the rooster next door will wake you to see the sunrise. "
