Day 3 we noticed the staff didn’t seem super thrilled to be working/serving us. The staff at the bar outside by the pool and the girl in the cafe were excellent, however staff at the desk and in the restaurant weren’t too friendly. We also noticed day 3, they had told us they were expecting like 178 people at the resort and we definitely felt that because they ran out of food at dinner and for breakfast/lunch. Paying for all inclusive it was a real bummer. I also paid for a protection plan for my stay and when my flight got cancelled, they refused to refund me for the night we lost and then didn’t have space to accumulate us to extend our stay. Super bummed out all around, thank God the beauty outside outweighed all of this or our trip would have been ruined. Taking the ferry back and forth to the main island was fun and very convenient! The guys in the boat shop on the hotel property were my hero’s and so helpful with tour info and any questions we had. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about is the hotel is still renovating so there was quite a bit of construction mess and noise but it was not really a bother. The snorkeling around the hotel was fantastic!!!" There is a breakfast place in the courtyard which was convenient. This hotel is across the street from the water in the heart of Frederiksted. This is not a swimming beach area, but more accessible beaches are nearby. Frederiksted is a cool town that is recovering from the last hurricane so there is a lot of work yet to be done, but we love that the history and culture is still very evident here, not commercialized.
