It's one of my favorite places to sit in the evening and watch the sunset. Because Passadumkeag is extremely rural, this boat access is usually pretty solitary, but it's a great entry point into the calm waters of the Penobscot for kayakers and boaters. The boat access is easy to find. It's located on Route 2, a simple drive through simple terrain with relatively little traffic. Travelers to Maine can follow my map pin right to the parking lot. It comfortably fits about four vehicles with trailers, but you'll rarely find more than one here at a time. I think her name was Melissa or Monica? She was wonderful. So helpful and patient as I had a lot of mishaps with my booking and rebooking before I finally booked with expedia. The only issue I had with cleanliness was the shower. Most hotels don't scrub the tub to my liking. I hate seeing any discoloration. White tubs would need to be scrubbed hard and often to show zero grime. But when paying as much as the Hilton charges, I feel like that should be done. The breakfast was also not as good as I remembered (I stayed there over 10 years ago) but the staff at the restaurant was absolutely amazing! Just a bit pricy for a breakfast they charge for. I paid extra for the breakfast to be included when booking which was more worth it price wise.
