The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. "

"We had a very nice stay at Oceanfront, the room was self contained, everything we needed, bedding and towels good. Nice location, almost on the beach, with good beach walks. Slightly out of town, which isn’t a problem as the Tuk Tuks are very cheap, and nice to be remote from the busy centre. Very nice staff, good contact and service, nice place-and they serve beer! "

There were numerous gaps around the balcony door, allowing mosquitoes to enter the room. I requested mosquito repellent and received it, but it proved ineffective. Even whilst sleeping, mosquitoes flew around my face, causing discomfort. Access to the beach was poor."
