"The property is located right by a pretty, unspoilt beach with wonderful sea views from the first floor balcony off the master bedroom. The coconut trees provide plenty of shade from the hot sun and the pool is large and very clean. The gym and massage room are a great addition. The team of 4 staff keep the house and garden spotless and Pradeep and Tharaka were a great help to us while we were there. Renu provided tasty meals as required. "What a place!! We stayed as a family of 4 (2 children 10/12) in an Oceanfront view room. Large double bed and 2 day beds for the kids! Clean and well appointed with a daily freshen up! We had the best time. So relaxing! A much calmer/quieter stretch of coastline (away from the busyness of Hiriketiya/ Weligama etc. Nice infinity pool to laze about in and plenty of sun loungers/cabanas for sunning, reading, drinking. Ocean, beach and waves were amazing, however, there are some serious rips/currents in the water so you may only be able to paddle around. No water sports. You can however do plenty of day trips (fishing), Udawalawa (to see the Elephants), to other beaches where you can surf/snorkel, cooking classes and Galle (old fort town - with hundreds of shops, cafe’s and restaurants. There is a good breakfast included in the cost of your room and a nice menu for lunch and evening meals. Plus there is a lovely family run restaurant across the street serving the best homemade currys and fish (caught by the family), plus a few others in walking distance. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help! We will be back! "

"Lovely hotel was being repainted as we stayed just out of season. The pool and restaurant were great and the staff were very helpful. Be aware the hotel is a little remote from anything else out of season and there no real entertainment around out of season, however the area looks like it would be lively in the season but please note the hotel is still a fair walk to the next bar or hotel and 20 mins to the main strip so tuk tuk will be required "

"If you want a little time in a luxurious place with great service look no further! Stayed there a few days as a little treat for ourselves and we really enjoyed our time! On-site restaurant with attentive staff, good room service, wonderful swimming pool with a view and the owners live on site and are very kind people! Super close to Secret beach, a tuk tuk ride away from other great beaches... Recommend this place. Very new too so facilities are in great condition. "

"We loved our stay at coco tangalla. The staff was welcoming and kind and the location was amazing. The property is beautiful with a great pool and beautiful view of the beach (although you can’t swim there because of the rocks, but it’s great to watch crabs in the rock pools!) - food was very tasty (egg hoppers were especially good) and the room was comfortable and practical (not huge in itself but the bed was comfy and there was storage for our bags under the bed, and the bathroom was big). There was turndown service too which is always a nice touch. We’ll be back for sure! "
