This hotel was perfectly comfortable for our three day stay. The buffet breakfast was good and the staff attentive. The reception staff were also very helpful and pleased to help. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. Everything was clean although a little dated, for example the mixer tap shower was not really up to the job and the iron bath had had the chips touched in with enamel paint. However there was plenty of hot water for a good soak in the bath!
Friends used the small indoor pool and enjoyed the experience, for the brave there is an unheated outdoor pool. There is a comfortable bar and lounge area overlooking the pool. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk from the bus station along the traffic free shopping street.

The Royal Yacht is a pleasant hotel, great Spa and leisure facilities but the silver rooms are small. On Saturday nights the noise from the street below is quite intrusive. If we stay again we will make sure to request a gold room on the side away from the main road.

We had a lovely four days in a very welcoming hotel. We arrived to find a bottle of wine and a card in our room. All the staff were very friendly and would go to any lengths to make us very welcome. The room was very comfortable with a great view of the sea and Elizabeth Castle. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of food. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. We used the indoor pool and spa which are very well eqipped. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in St Helier. We've been to Guernsey many times but this is the first time we'd stayed at OGH.
Guernsey is a great place for peace and quiet restful break. There isn't a lot to do and that's exactly what we wanted. The weather was fantastic and we took the bus to Vazon and walked on the beach to Cobo.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The décor is very classy.
We had dinner in the Brasserie and the Curry House both had excellent service and the food was really good although I would prefer food served on a plate rather than a wooden board (Brasserie)! Both restaurants were reasonably priced.
The bedroom was very elegant and had everything you could possibly want (including 3 phones) but it was very small. The bathroom had a bath, shower etc. and lots of nice fluffy white towels and L'Occitane products.
We were only there 2 nights and it was a lovely stay.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the rooms are very spacious and the beds are very comfy. The spa are is very clean and big enough for everyone.
The hotel is about 30mins walk from the port, wouldn't recommend walking for anyone with walking difficulties as it's very hilly but a taxi cost about 6-8 pounds.
Will be returning soon.
