Went for three nights end of April. The staff are excellent. Very polite and efficient. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was a little dated but everything worked. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. Our room overlooked the outdoor pool and was very quiet.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, didn't eat dinner but he menu looked nice. The Indoor pool was not the biggest but it was warm, the jacuzzi was warmer and just the job after a long day walking the coast. They provide towels for your swim which is nice.
An army of cleaners come through every morning and leave your room spotless, they change your towels every day as well.
It's about a fifteen minute walk to the bus station and less to some excellent restaurants.
I would stay again and recommend it for the price which was good value.

Stayed for a weekend in April and absolutely loved our stay. We only had the Silver room which was small but adequate for two. The bathroom had underfloor heating, the bed was the most comfortable I've found in a hotel and the food was excellent. We had B&B but also ate in The Grill in the evening and this was far better than expected despite the cramped eating conditions! We used the pool, sauna etc which was free of charge and spotlessly clean (bathrobes and slippers are in the room so that you can change and go straight down in the lift). Overall a wonderful 4 star hotel with fantastic spa facilities right in the middle of St Helier town which although a walk away from beaches is by the bus station and all of the shops facing the sea. Would definitely stay here again.

The food was excellent as was the service. The hotel is nicely tucked away up a hill but still very convenient for the shops and the port. Maria on reception was a great help for making reservations and purchasing tickets. Would not hesitate in recommending this establishment for business or pleasure. Our stay was for leisure weekend. One tip I would give is that if possible you upgrade your room to whatever your budget and availability allows!

I stay at the Duke of Richmond on a regular basis. From the moment you arrive the welcome and attentiveness of the staff is second to none. The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance to the town centre. Highly recommended. Many rooms have a sea view and higher floors recommended.

We had the charcoal roses room. Very clean and spot on.
The owner was very welcoming. She's thought of every thing people might need or ask for and was always willing to offer more help if required. The breakfast was very yummy with freshly baked bread and croissants and cooked breakfast every morning.
The hotel is very well located as quite central and therefore every bit of the island is easily reached from there.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in July as part of our 10 day holiday to Guernsey. We hadn't realised when we booked that it was the Sheep racing weekend, and thought it would be very busy, but it was surprisingly quiet. I had booked a double room in the hotel, but when we arrived we were upgraded to a garden lodge. The standard of these lodges are fantastic, very spacious and comfortable with a 6ft bed and huge bathroom, masses of space and all fiited to a very high spec.
We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and one evening meal. The evening meal was excellent, the breakfast was good too and they were happy to arrange an early breakfast with a full menu on our departure day.
I couldn't fault the hotel and would definitely stay there again.
