My mini economy rental car had no trouble getting there in the heavy rain, which is rare in Costa Rica. Thanks for the great stay!"

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"We rented the property for our mothers 70th birthday. 6 adults 4 kids ranging from 5 to 11. Basically everything that could have gone wrong did (planned area wide power outage for 1 day, unplanned area wide water outage for part of day, 5 year old ran through a sliding glass door) and even wjth all of that it was one of the best vacations any of us have had. "The property had everything we needed- nice pool which was kept clean, 3 bedrooms with AC , kitchen, living area. Lots of towels and good poolside lounges. There were beach chairs to take with you to the beaches. The location was just a few minutes drive to Carrillo beach. The housekeeping folks were wonderful. The bathrooms were very functional but a bit dated. You should have a 4 wheel drive since the road up is a bit steep but we find a 4 wheel drive the best option in any case for Costa ...
