"Good location but service isn't great. Room service threw away some of our snacks. There was an issue with motor pumps in the morning of our checkout and water supply was not there. No effort was made to provide alternate arrangements."

"Very nice place, with good food. But very expensive, particularly by Bhutanese standards. There's another place with a fantastic view directly overlooking the Punakha Zhong that is included in the package tour prices, so you don't have to pay extra. "

"Dewachen is a amazing property and fantastic location overseeing the Phobjikha valley. Rooms with wooden flooring n walls are spacious with the old fashion bukhari (wood fired heater) and chopped firewood placed outside every room.Good breakfast options. Restaurant needs a bit of improvement since we were offered a set menu for lunch and dinner, would have preferred ala carte on a vacation. Lack of eating joints in the vicinity. Food and other facilities for drivers needs to improve else...

"Not so good. Heating system was very bad. I told them about cold they could not solve. They failed to give me wake up call. All front desk staffs are sleeping.very bad management.Receptiom staffs are not well behaved. They informed the driver to drop me at 6am instead of 5am. "Staying here was an incredible treat after completing an 8-day trek to Mardi Himal. My friend had researched hotels extensively, and since we only had two nights, we wanted to make the most of it. After a five-hour delay in Kathmandu we arrived exhausted, but the hotel immediately took care of us by accommodating a massage appointment. As a Platinum member I was also surprised with an upgrade to a villa.
I love how the hotel feels built into the landscape. The wood architecture and large windows bring in beautiful natural light, and the grounds feature rolling hills with pine and cypress trees that make it feel like a mountain ski chalet. We chose this property for its proximity to both the airport and Tiger’s Nest.
Breakfast was wonderful with homemade jams, jellies, marmalades, pastries, and fresh vegetable juices. The entire property is centered around wellness, and we even attended a talk about Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness philosophy, which was inspiring.
The service was exceptional. My villa had a fireplace, butler service, a massage bed, and even a dedicated wellness room. The bathroom was huge and stocked with the same products used in the spa. I especially loved soaking in lavender and eucalyptus bath salts after the trek.
When I called ahead on our way to the hotel, my butler had the fireplace lit and champagne on ice. Even though the villa was separ"
"The bed was very comfortable but honestly the hotel was similar to, or honestly, less impressive than our previous hotel at 1/3 the price (check out Lemon Tree Resort in Thimphu). Was a bit surprised to see the high reviews in comparison to actual condition/quality."
"Value for money is great, staff are helpful during stay and before for coordinating driver/guide. The setting in the forest is much nicer than staying in town. The only thing I felt was a let down were the pillow, too tall and hard so had to sleep without."
"Spotless quiet rooms nearby to Tigers Nest. Kind friendly staff and great food served in the restaurant. A short taxi/car ride to the centre of Paro.
Had a massage here after Tiger’s Nest hike, which was also excellent. "
