I could easily walk to different restaurants in the neighborhood, and there is a park across the street that was active and filled with different food stands. The vibe was great. There is also a casino and a very good restaurant on the property too. As for the hotel itself, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing missing was a refrigerator and maybe a safe, but everything else was great. The best part of the Pickwick was definitely the staff. They were all so polite and helpful and helped me with arranging a guide to take me to the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins and just driving around, showing me much of Belize City. I would recommend it with no reservations. because our fishing tour canceled on us last minute, the hotel helped me make arrangements home early. They helped me exchange all of my Belize, money into US dollar, so I would not lose out on being able to exchange considering we left on a holiday and the bank was closed. They went above and beyond helping me to do that so I wouldn’t lose hundreds of dollars. Especially Mireisy Rax at the front desk. She was so incredible, the whole staff was incredibly kind and accommodating and helpful. The room itself was beautiful and clean with hot water.
