The backyard features a pebble pool & spa, an outdoor dining area, gas grill, grilling island with a seating area, firepit, and lounge space. The fully equipped kitchen offers silverware, tableware, and appliances such as an oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee maker, and blender. All you need to do is bring your groceries :) The living/dining room area is great for spending time indoors, playing board games and having dinner with your guests. We provide a variety of board games! \*\*Sleeping Arrangements\*\* Bedroom 1: 1 King bed Bedroom 2: 1 Queen bed Bedroom 3: 1 Queen bed Bedroom 4: 2 Bunk beds (Queen) Living Room: 2 Queen air mattresses We offer driveway parking. Garage parking is not available. Guest won't be able to access the garage. Guest access I will send a unique door code prior your arrival. Other things to note 3 security cameras in the property:1 located in the backyard pointing out to the backyard/pool, 1 located in the side yard pointing out to the sideyard, 1 located in the front yard pointing out the front yard. All of them are recording 24/7 for security purposes. There are no indoor cameras. Noise detector is outside in the backyard (no video or audio is recorded) and is required by City of Desert Hot Springs Local Compliance: This property has special local compliance requirements, including a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a $1,500 security hold (not a traditional deposit, just a pending transaction). Damage Waiver (Optional): Up to 10 nights: $59 11–20 nights: $59 + $4/night over 10 nights Over 20 nights: $200 + $4/night over 20 nights We make this process easy using Happy Guest, a secure, app-free platform. No account signup is needed, and it gives you a guest portal with all home info and my favorite local spots. Optional Upgrades: Early Check-in: $30/hr Late Check-out: $33/hr Pool/Hot Tub Heating: $150/day, minimum 2 days, with 24 hours’ notice Spa & Pool: Spa heating included; 3-hour timer, can be turned on anytime. Pool heating requires 24 hours to reach temperature; do not touch pool equipment—any damage is at guest’s expense. Music: Allowed outdoors until 10:00 PM. Small portable speakers only; no large speakers, DJ equipment, or karaoke machines outdoors. Maintenance Access: By booking, you acknowledge and give permission for the pool and/or hot tub to be serviced twice a week and for the gardener to access the backyard once a week for routine maintenance. These services may occur during your stay. There is an additional $50/night fee for each guest after the 10th guest. PETS are allowed. We charge $95 per pet for their stay. Very comfortable for a birthday 2-night weekend away with friends. However, the pool was so dirty that many guests felt uncomfortable going in. Algae coated the filter, walls, and floor, and the water was green and murky, making the pool floor invisible. Some guests still went in the water, but others avoided dunking their heads. They also said the floor was slimy, which altogether was a significant issue since I booked the place \*for\* the pool. I reached out to the manager after checkout, offering thorough photos and requesting a partial refund. She declined my request and images, citing that I did not alert her during my stay and said, “We clean the pool every Friday and Monday and treat it with all the necessary chemicals and chlorine; also, the pool was cleaned on your arrival date. If we had known, we would have sent the pool man over right away.” A murky, green pool with an invisible floor was clearly not cleaned earlier that day. Plus, I didn’t notify the host on Saturday because I didn’t want to interrupt my/my guests’ one full day of relaxation by having to coordinate service coming in. Her refusal to look at my pictures or offer assistance because I didn’t notify during my stay felt silly and dismissive, but I understand VRBO may have such rules. She refunded the $30 charge for our requested late checkout, however. The rest was perfect, so I still recommend. But check in about the pool! ##### Jocelyn B. The beds were very comfortable. When you aren’t sleeping, you’ll want to spend plenty of time outside. We used the spa, the pool, the outdoor seating area with the propane fireplace, and the grill. It’s a great setting for soaking in the sun and the views. There’s even a short, steep hike up the mountainside that is less than a half mile from the house. Mariam, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating. While the location is outside of Palm Springs, we didn’t mind driving to the various attractions. If you are into the bar scene, you may want to stay closer to the action.
