"The young man working the overnight front desk should be running his own hotel one day! I’m rarely impressed with professional acumen, kindness, and sincere effort to go above and beyond. I literally watched this young man treat a dozen or more people checking in with such professionalism that I was astonished. The rooms are extremely big, super clean and they have an indoor pool, I however, it was freezing cold.. the breakfast exceeded expectations. I think it’s a wonderful hotel at a perfect location and definitely a competitive price. If I ever roll through Des Moines again, I will stay at this property."

"The house was exactly how it was advertised. We had a school group there focused on a local competition -- plenty of room to spread out, decompress with TVs, games, space to practice parts.Clean, manager EXCEPTIONAL about communication. Close to Des Moines downtown, Drake University, etc. Literally it was a PERFECT experience for my students, visiting parent, and myself. Would book here again 10/10."

"Checked in after a long time of driving, my bed didn’t even have a blanket on it and it had a dirty sheet. The pillowcases were clearly reused. I asked the front desk to get this rectified and she wasn’t sympathetic at all. Just OK we’ll get it fixed when we get it fixed and I was like well. I need a blanket on my bed. So eventually housekeeping came and I want to have a shower and the showerhead didn’t work plus there was no plug for the tub apparently since I booked through Expedia, it’s a third-party so nothing they could do. I complain to Expedia not all they did was offer me $10 which is a joke so I said forget about it. "
