Nice house but loads wrong
Could be nice property but major TLC needed. Bedding is very poor and new beds needed. Small room ceiling is falling down, badly stained from leaks in above bathrooms. Bathrooms need showers fitted properly and bath sealant sorting out. Ivy growing into main bedroom. None of the doors close properly. Kitchen very dated, under sink is rotten. Dish washer needs sorting. Needs more kitchen equipment. I thought we were in a courtyard with swimming pool and children's play area. Not so we were further up the lane so lot of noise from busy road. Pool was fine. Children's play area dangerous, rotten, trampoline broken! I was very disappointed especially what I paid for half term. I have owned holiday let's and I would not let out a property the way this one is let out. Would I recommend? Definitely not, not until it is brought up to a good standard.

Fantastic location, lovely property
We stayed for two weeks post lockdown and were worried the holiday wouldn’t be great. We could not have been more wrong! Gorgeous, spacious house. The photos do NOT do it justice. Prepare to be wowed! Pool was clean, warm and easy to access as were the facilities. The village is gorgeous (you have to walk through it to get from the house to the farm) and we picked up the most divine cherry tomatoes everyday from a family on our walk. Everyone is mega friendly in the area and the people running it couldn’t have been more lovely or more helpful. You must bring your own soap, toilet paper etc as there is a small amount but not a lot. To summarise, we loved it! Our only downside (which is small) was that the garden is an unfenced front garden and is surrounded by a driveway to multiple houses and leads onto a busy road. We have an active 2 year old and spent our holiday running around after her which wasn’t very relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the world.

Read the small print
This property is part of many cottages. Most are within the confines of Moor Farm which is a copmplex with a play area, some animals, a swimming pool and a fishing lake. Church Farm Barn is about 0.4 miles away and along a tight single lane road which would be hard to walk down with the kids in tow. Still, manageable, but we mistakenly thought it was all on site. The property was lovely, a peacful setting and large property which is very comfortable for 8. The property was just left unlocked for us to arive, this is a bit odd as I wanted to check the property fully to make sure noone was waiting as a surpsie! Surely a key safe would be a cheap option here. The boiler wasnt working properly for us but a call the the out of hours mobile and a friendly plumber arrived within the hour to release the air lock and put pressure back in the system for it to operate. Unfortunately the same thing happened the following day. This may have just been unfortunate and to be fair to the management the response was quick and friendly. Overall, a lovely countryside retreat which would do for 3 or 4 couples, or two families with kids. Would stay again.
