The staff were all very nice, and the restaurant staff were just lovely, our problem here was that we had two cockroaches in our room and when we had asked if it was possible to be moved to a different room we were told that they weren’t dangerous and gave us mosquito repellent to spray at them. Since I had paid the night before and my taxi was waiting I just left the key and left. Cleaning and ground staff however are very friendly and dedicated. Was upgraded to a superior room because they were not busy. A nice touch and thank goodness because the superior room was still pretty basic but functioning. The actual shower does not have hot water however the hand held tub shower head did. I would return but only to a superior room and subject to price. I booked a standard room and it was very basic. No fridge or tea/coffee jug. However, they were happy to upgrade to a superior room at no extra cost! It is a charming small Balinese Hotel, but at the moment the building noise from across the road spoils the charm of a wonderful Hotel. It was a bit pricy but a nice clean place. Food was so so. My big complaint was that they sold us a boat ticket, through another company, that was 3 x the cost of other boat companies. I felt like our hotel should have given us more options instead of sending us with the company that they had a contract with.
