I was picked up at the airport, arrived late evening, immediately shown to the most lovely room with cold beer, complimentary water, outside bathroom - beautiful quiet setting in gardens away from any roads. I was driven to a great restaurant for dinner and picked up again, then very early in the morning driven to the harbour to get my boat to Penida. So helpful, friendly, accommodating. A little disappointing, the towels were dirty, and not changed. No staff onsite. The bed sheets appeared not to be changed, and were rather itchy. There was permanant marker on the sheets or stains of some sort. There were also only a cover for the blanket and no blanket itself. Also The outdoor shower was interesting concept. When it was raining, it's hard to enjoy a shower, or when it's not, it's so humid that your sweating in the shower. It's okay, but I'm sure there is better around. We were also told we could keep the aircon running for long, which was a bit odd when your in Bali and the humidity is close to 90%. The problem was the back alley with stray dogs. I got back in the middle of the night and the dogs wouldn't let me in to the home stay or leave.
