Our 7 cottages, along with our house, are located on the same large property in Edmunds Twp, Maine, United States. The cottages are in a wooded area with privacy maintained for each. Built in 1945, with additions in the early 50's, this single-level log cottage features a vaulted ceiling with a field-stone fireplace and a woodstove for heat. Complimentary firewood is provided in an outdoor woodshed. The cottage offers a cozy kitchen and dining area, a living room, and bathroom with shower. There are two bedrooms, one with 2 twin beds and one with a twin and a double bed (sleeps up to 5). Linens and towels are provided. The screened porch overlooks the river near the rips. It is a beautiful sound to listen to and even fall asleep to. This cottage is very private and located on its own road, nestled in the woods on the bank of the river. There is an outdoor charcoal grill and picnic table. Please note, this cottage does NOT have WiFi. Edmunds Township is in a very rural area within 30 minutes of a variety of coastal towns and activities. The property boasts a man-made pond and the Dennys River. We are also only a few hundred yards from the Sunrise Trail. The closest stores are in Pembroke, a 6-mile drive. There is a Dollar General and a Freshies. These have some groceries and takeout options. The closest sit-down restaurant is 12 miles from us in Perry, but most are located in the towns of Machis, Calais, Eastport and Lubec which are a 20 to 30-mile drive. Many restaurants and stores close early here, so it's best to call ahead for hours if you are planning a later arrival. All of the cottages have a kitchen so cooking for yourself is a money-saving option. Coming from the north, the last stop for groceries is Calais and coming from the south, the last stop for groceries is Machias. Both are about 25 miles from us. There are also grocery stores in Eastport and Lubec which are just over 20 miles. ## Property amenities ### Parking and transport - Parking on site ### Kitchen - Coffee/tea maker - Cookware, dishware, and utensils - Very private, with the falls just below the front of the camp. There was a fireplace, a wood stove and an outdoor firepit. No charge for good dry wood, no charge to use canoes and kayaks. Who does that anymore? Thank you. ##### Charlotte S. Stayed 2 nights in Sep 2021 This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Chris K. 12 Sept 2016 #### Ideal rustic cabin This little gem is completely private, away from the other cabins. It sits by a small river which tumbles over rocks right outside the bedroom windows. The stone fireplace is impressive! It is well equipped yet has the feel of an old Maine cabin. (which it is, built in 1942) We locked ourselves out and the owner was great. If you are looking for the real thing in the way of a rustic but comfortable old cabin in a beautiful setting, you won't be disappointed. By the way it is only about 20 minutes from Eastport. ##### Chris K. The location was beautiful and private. It was just what our family needed. The kayaks, fire pit and a screened in porch made for some productive conversations and some fun memories! ##### Lisa S. I wish that we had more time in our little cottage! We had such a lovely stay here at Robinson's Cottages. Were greeted with a very warm welcome and clear directions to our cottage, which was kitted out with everything we needed (and didn't!). The surrounding area of the cottage was also lovely - some small rapids behind the cabin created the most amazing atmosphere for sleeping, not to mention that the beds were sooooooo comfortable. Only potential downside is that there isn't much within a few miles for restaurants or drug stores. It didn't impact us at all, we were well prepared and also didn't mind a short drive to one of the nearby towns for some fun. Would return in a heartbeat! ##### Sarah H. Quiet, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed everyday in cottage #2\. We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs. Everyone had a great trip. We went bird hunting and sight seeing daily. Even saw a bull moose. Great place! Can’t wait to go back!! ##### corinne e. We had a very nice overnight stay. By chance we got Cabin #2 which runs along a brook, this was definitely an added bonus. The cabin was a rustic log cabin with a beautiful fireplace which we thoroughly enjoyed all evening after dark. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy staying in a Secluded rustic cabin with no TV or wifi this place is for you! We also enjoyed the screened in porch. There’s an out door fire pit, BBQ and picnic table. Lots of wood available. We would surely stay here again! ##### Sheila M. We enjoyed the water falls next to the cabin, very calming and serene. We are Shriner's and were Downeast for the ceremonial parade the week-end of June 15-17 2018\. Thank you Robinson's . ##### Harold and Susan A. Stayed 2 nights in Jun 2018 This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 6/10 Okay #### Nancy C. 18 Oct 2016 #### Beautiful spot Loved the cottage. The fireplace was incredible. We had 2 couples and it was perfect for us. It was rustic and old fashioned which I love. My only complaint was that we had a smell in the bedroom and found out that there was a dead mouse in the closet area that was covered with bugs. Thankfully there was a dustpan & broom so my husband could get the mouse outside. Other than that glitch, it was awesome! ##### Nancy C. Stayed 1 night in Sep 2016 This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 8/10 Good #### Kathleen A. 1 Jun 2016 #### Peaceful and Beautiful We stopped at Robinson's on our way up to Nova Scotia. The location was a great resting point. The cabin was the perfect size and in a great location along the river. We listened to the water as we fell asleep. The cabin was what we expected based on the listing - rustic but sufficient. Beautiful fireplace and the cast iron stove kept us warm all night after we figured it out. Be advised: these are the only heat sources in the cabin. ##### Kathleen A. Stayed 2 nights in May 2016 ---
