The Space:

Tucked into the evergreens of Snowline, Skywood is a thoughtfully restored midcentury mountain retreat designed for quiet escapes, ski weekends, and time spent reconnecting in the North Cascades.



Set above a peaceful ravine and surrounded by towering trees, the cabin feels immersed in the forest. Large windows bring the outdoors into the living space, while rich wood tones, deep blues, glossy green cabinetry, and custom lighting give Skywood a character all its own. On clear days, you may even catch glimpses of Church Mountain through the trees.



Winter is especially good here. Spend the day skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing around Mt. Baker, store your gear in the dedicated ski and board area, then warm up in your private indoor sauna before settling in for the evening.

THE SPACE



The main living area is intimate, comfortable, and closely connected to the surrounding forest. Gather after a day in the mountains, play a game, stream a movie, or simply enjoy the view as the light changes through the trees.



The fully equipped kitchen makes staying in easy, whether you are preparing breakfast before heading to the mountain or cooking dinner after a day outside. Coffee lovers have both a Breville espresso machine and a Cuisinart drip coffee maker, along with locally roasted coffee and tea.



When the day is done, the private indoor sauna offers one of Skywood's best experiences, especially during ski season.

MT. BAKER BASECAMP



Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 35 minutes from the cabin, putting skiing and snowboarding within easy reach while still giving you the quiet, forested atmosphere of Snowline.



In warmer months, the area opens up for hiking, mountain biking, scenic drives, and river adventures, making Skywood an easy year-round North Cascades retreat.



Whether you arrive for fresh snow, fall color, summer trails, or simply a few quiet days beneath the evergreens, Skywood gives you a memorable place to come home to.



Guest Access:

Guests have private use of Skywood, including the indoor sauna, along with access to shared Snowline community amenities.



Snowline is a gated community, so vehicle information is required before arrival for community registration. Parking is available in the home's designated driveway area; street parking is not permitted.



The Neighborhood:

Skywood is located in Snowline, a peaceful gated community surrounded by the forests of the Mt. Baker area.



The restaurants and small shops of Glacier are just minutes away, while Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 35 minutes from the home. Winter brings skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and dramatic mountain scenery. During the warmer months, hiking, mountain biking, river adventures, and scenic drives are all within easy reach.



Snowline also offers community walking trails, tennis courts, a playground, and open recreation areas.



The shared outdoor community pool is a seasonal summer amenity, typically open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It is closed during fall and winter.



Other Things to Note:

We want your mountain getaway to feel easy from the moment you arrive. A few helpful details to know before booking:



Children: For safety, Skywood is not suitable for children under five because of the home's open-log stairwell.



Fireplace: The original fireplace shown in the home is decorative only and is not available for guest use.



Dogs: Up to two approved dogs are welcome with the required pet fee. Dogs must be at least one year old, remain off beds and furniture, be leashed within the community, and may not be left unattended in the home.



Winter travel: Mountain weather can change quickly. AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended when winter conditions are present.



Parking: Parking is limited to the designated driveway. Snowline does not permit street parking, and vehicle information is required for community gate registration.



WiFi + cell service: The home has fast fiber WiFi suitable for streaming and remote work. Cellular service can be limited throughout the Mt. Baker area, and mountain storms can occasionally affect utilities.



Summer pool: Snowline's shared outdoor pool is a seasonal summer amenity, typically operating Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It is closed during fall and winter.



Groceries: For larger grocery trips, we recommend stocking up before arriving in Glacier. Local markets and restaurants are available, but selections and seasonal hours can be limited.
