Staff was very good, hotel was decent not like 3 start also basic washroom.
A peaceful vintage oasis with great charm (2-night stay)
The Cocoon is a lovely, peaceful retreat with a distinct 1960s character, a huge garden, and two wonderful dogs that make the stay feel very welcoming. It truly reminded me of the classic colonial tea plantation bungalows in Nuwara Eliya (Sri Lanka): very spacious rooms, comfortable mattresses, reliable hot water in the bathroom, and nice touches like Netflix, drinking water, coffee, and tea.
Communication with the manager via WhatsApp was polite, smooth, and very helpful throughout (although I only met her in person once). On-site, two very young staff members were eager to help, though communication was a bit challenging due to their limited English.
Keep in mind that they do not serve breakfast or dinner, but that isn't an issue since you'll find plenty of local dining options just out on the main street.
The property could definitely benefit from some general maintenance (some peeling paint and aged, rusty taps), but if you value serenity, space, and nostalgic character over modern luxury, it is a very pleasant place to rest.
