Our carefully designed coastal retreat is central to many of the adventures in coastal Maine. 3 bedrooms including 1 king suite, 1 king bedroom, a double trundle room, a well stocked kitchen, bath, grill and firepit. Perfect for family fun, couples' retreats, visits to Acadia National Park, and other activities for up to 8 guests. 3 minutes to Causeway Beach!

A special Island

We really enjoyed our stay in Deer Isle. The house is very nice and comfortable. The location is near a main road and it’s not walkable to anything but the surrounding area on the island is quite spectacular. We especially loved Sand Beach for a cool evening sunset swim. A day trip to Acadia was really nice too. Finding the dishwasher full of dishes and having to unload it upon arrival was a bit of a bummer while on vacation. Otherwise, the place was clean and well appointed.

We Love Deer Isle

We loved the house. The owners were very communicative and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was as pictured and described. Wonderful area to stay in. The host had great recommendations at the house. We hope to return soon.

The house is very comfortable with 2 living room areas, a big kitchen & dining area.The kitchen is fully stocked, which is a delight. There are lobster pots & all the tools you need to make lobster at home. The kitchen has a small round table that accommodates 4 people. Good amount of counter space & shelves to store dry goods, etc. There is a drip coffee maker, microwave, stove, & full-size fridge.The dining room has a large table & is between the kitchen & living room.•Bedroom 3 is HUGE with A/C & a king bed. The laundry is located in this bedroom. The ensuite bathroom is large, but has a stall shower.•Bedroom 2 is much smaller & has NO A/C. The bathroom for this bedroom is down the hall & comes with a bathtub shower•Bedroom 1 has 2 twins & no A/C.Downstairs has A/C.There is a small driveway for parking cars. The front of the house has a small porch deck with 2 Adirondack chairs. The house is on a main road (with traffic all night), so you likely won’t be hanging out in the front of the house.There is a large mudroom with hooks for coats & places for shoes & bags, etc.The backyard is HUGE with a fire pit & lots of Adirondack chairs. You will need to supply your own wood if you want to have a fire. We had 2 dogs with us & we put our tie out in the backyard - plenty of room for the dogs to run. There are also a few trees in the backyard that provided some much-needed shade from the sun in the middle of the day.Host was very responsive & checked in often.
