"I spent a week at Kayak Cove for a private work retreat.The location was splendid--right at the end of a little inlet that led out to the bay and eventually the gulf. I brought my own kayak and had a lovely time kayaking almost every day. The area is full of a diversity of water birds--ospreys with a nest across the water, ibises, herons... And the mullet are jumping.The neighborhood and location were QUIET. The house, raised up high for hurricane safety, has gorgeous veiws of sunrise and sunset--especially from the porch. It is surrounded by gorgeous trees, giving a sense of privacy--and it was fun watching songbirds in them from the many large windows that surround the main living/dining room. The house itself was clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, a washer and drier, sturdy livingroom furniture, and two bedrooms. There are plenty of chairs and table space, as well as outside chairs and rockers on the porch.It was very easy to communicate with the owners."
