It's an old building and has had some trouble from Mother nature lately but it has a charm to it. It has some quirky plumbing tricks but once you have the hot water dialed in the shower feels great after several days of desert camping. It's quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. When planning your visit you need to be aware of this. The building is over 100 years old, and subject to the extreme desert conditions. We found it charming. The room and bathroom was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were great. The only downside was that we arrived after a flooding and in the common area was a musty smell, but not in the room. The employees were very friendly and very informative! We really enjoyed our stay. Close to Nevada Border so we were able to get gas much cheaper and The Long Street Casino had a good restaurant. The hotel was not too far from Death Valley National Park.
