When we got back around 5:30/6, they were still there working until 7:30\. If they would have done the pool area first instead of the yard we could have used it while they were still there, but they chose to do the pool area at the end. The owner was not willing to compensate us for not being able to fully use the property at check-in time and only offered a bottle of wine and snacks dropped off which we begrudgingly accepted over nothing. Having that not done before check-in is no different than having the cleaning people still there at check-in time, which would be unacceptable. When you a rent a VRBO, you are supposed to get full access at check-in time. My daughter and wife were rather upset we couldn't really use the pool on day 1 and had minimal time with it at all before my daughter's bedtime. Maybe just some bad luck and timing by them and their yard crew but still left a sour taste first thing.Besides that, the rest of the stay went off as smooth as possible and the property was just as advertised. ##### Shane H.
