A beautiful warm and comfortable period home, full of charm and character with all of the comforts you would want in a holiday home. Situated close to the centre of Daylesford and only a short stroll to Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, the Daylesford Sunday market and close to all that Daylesford has to offer, this charming, secluded residence is surrounded by beautiful gardens and birch trees.

Offering two beautiful living areas with wood fireplaces that roar, three generous sized bedrooms, a covered alfresco area and a separate outdoor dining area, Birch House is a perfect retreat to relax and unwind or socialize and entertain. Relax on the large leather suite in the casual lounge and enjoy the latest movies on Netflix or play Nintendo WII U, whilst others can retreat to the middle lounge and enjoy quiet time by the open fire. Birch House accommodates up to six guests in king or king single beds, with one lovely bathroom as well as a separate powder room, to provide comfort and style.

A large contemporary dining area and fully appointed country kitchen and casual lounge/tv area are surrounded by French doors and windows - which take full advantage of the lovely garden view and provide an abundance of natural light. The sun porch also offers another lovely space to sit and relax. A separate outdoor area with BBQ leads from the main lounge where you can enjoy a summer BBQ and admire the majestic trees on the property.

Pet friendly* with a fully fenced backyard, Birch House also offers off-street parking. In summary, a relaxed country getaway for those wanting a memorable stay in Daylesford, ideal for either a couple wanting a secluded romantic retreat, or family and friends wanting to holiday with children or their beloved pet.

Birch House is pet-friendly accommodation with a fully fenced yard. Pets are restricted to the rear of the house and are not allowed on bedding or furniture.

Bedding: The king-size beds in all bedrooms can be split into 2 x singles if required. We will contact you when your booking is received to confirm your preferred bedding configuration.

A perfect stay in Daylesford

This property is a lovely cottage set in beautiful gardens and within a short drive (or pleasant walk) from the Main Street of Daylesford. We could not fault anything during our 5-day stay. The kitchen/dinning/lounge area is a great place, spacious yet cosy. The enclosed verandah perfect for afternoon drinks. Bedrooms are spacious and beds very comfortable (incl. electric blanket and additional blankets). The decor fits the property and is practical. Bathroom and kitchen are very well set up with amenities/supplies. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. We could not fault anything.

Lovely cosy house with character

Very well appointed for a family group. There were a couple minor things like appliances not working properly but overall it was very comfortable. We were a tad disappointed that the tree house pictured is no longer there and the glorious tree has had its limbs removed. Other than that the home was as pictured. The house is nicely decorated with lots of art and things to look at and feels homely.

Girls getaway

I took my elderly mum and niece to this property for a Mum/Nan 4 night getaway. We loved the house, it was so lovely and clean , very well presented and the gift hamper on arrival added a lovely warm touch. The photos and description of the house are true to form, very impressed. We didn’t take our dog , but it was nice to see how this property catered for animals ie dog kennel and bed, plus dog bowls. The only thing which was overlooked by myself was the shower in the bath tub, which made it a little harder for mum. I would totally recommend this property, it’s location was great and the sun room on a beautiful afternoon, was a pleasure to sit in enjoying a cheeky wine or two.

All the fine details

Highly recommend this property. So many small touches were made before we checked in (such as fresh flowers on the bench, fireplaces set up and a gift hamper of local produce) in addition to being a very clean and well styled home. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great weekend.
