"This hotel is aged. Pain peeling, furniture faded and knocked and carpets from a bygone era. Car parking is in the town on a public street which entails carrying luggage a long way to the hotel rail shuttle and then again onto the hotel reception. The rooms are terrible. Very dated. The bed base on the floor with a thin mattress atop a 15cm high base. You don't so much step out of bed when you get above a certain age, as roll out. The bed sagged to so didn't provide comfort. "I booked this hotel primarily for the view of Lake St. Moritz and the more reasonable room rates. We took a taxi from the train station to the hotel which was approx. 25CHF as it is a very steep walk even with the escalators. The gal that checked us in was very friendly, helpful and provided a good overview of the hotel and town. We did not book the room with breakfast and both mornings walked down to the Hauser Hotel for a perfect breakfast more like back home. We did wish the hotel offered in room coffee but there was none in our room. The room was a bit dated but huge and while the windows were large, you could not open them as they are old and fragile. I will say this was one of the most comfortable beds we slept in over our 2 week trip! I would recommend this hotel if you visit St. Moritz. "
