This beautifully furnished OCEAN VIEW, 3 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom, attached single family style townhome is perfectly situated up and away from it all in a quiet little suburban gated neighborhood called ‘Dana Light’. DANA LIGHT sleeps 6 comfortably in beds and is spacious enough to host two couples, a single or multiple family groups. It’s a VERY AFFORDABLE retreat and vacation hideaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. DANA LIGHT also offers a detached 2 CAR GARAGE with additional off street parking on the driveway. There is a full size washer and dryer are located in the garage. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards provided for your use. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: The MASTER BEDROOM SUITE IS DOWNSTAIRS! There is also a half guest bathroom downstairs near the entry. The master bedroom suite has a Cal King bed, flat screen TV & separate dressing area with mirrored closets. It has one of the few harbors along the Orange County coast, and with ready access via State Route 1 (the famous Pacific Coast Highway or PCH). Dana Point and surrounding communities of Laguna Beach and San Clemente are popular local destinations for surfing. ATTRACTIONS: DANA LIGHT is just up the road from the O.C. Dana Point Harbor and downtown Dana Point. Located towards the northern section of Dana Point, it is just a short 15 minute drive into the beautiful and 'artsy' seaside town of Laguna Beach. It’s also convenient and within a short 15 minute drive (or a 30 minute bike ride for the more adventurous types) from the historic San Juan Capistrano where the Mission San Juan Capistrano and the quaint Los Rios District is surrounded with charming antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. There’s even a petting zoo for the smaller members in your family! The city was named after the headland of Dana Point, which was in turn named after Richard Henry Dana, Jr., author of ‘Two Years Before the Mast’, which included a description of the area. Dana described the locale, including neighboring San Juan Capistrano, as "the only romantic spot on the coast". Although Dana described the anchorage as poor, it is now a developed harbor and contains a replica of his ship, the Pilgrim. The house was well equipped with towels, kid books and beach toys/equipment. The neighborhoods is friendly, quiet, and safe and we loved using the pool/hot tub. The toilet was running in one of the bathrooms requiring us to lift with lid each time to stop the water flow and the AC did not work (House reached 82 though set at 74). I can’t say enough good things about it! The decor is lovely, the furniture and beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms are beautifully upgraded, and the well-designed kitchen is fully stocked with everything a family could need. The outside is completely private, with lots of places to enjoy sun or shade. The community pool is just steps away and we used the hot tub at least once a day.There are lots of things to see and do in Dana Point and the surrounding area. We walked and hiked for hours, explored beaches and other nearby communities, went on whale and dolphin expeditions, rode ferries, went parasailing and biking, watched sunsets, and ate at some great restaurants. The attractions in Anaheim and LA are easy to get to and are less than an hour away.In short, our time here was one of our best family vacations ever and, if we could, we’d live in Dana Point in this very house! Yard was beautiful and private for sitting outdoors and enjoying the ocean air. I would not consider this residence is walking distance to beach. It is quite a ways! My daughter and I walked 2 mornings to the closest beach where you can swim and it was a 2 mile walk down then another 2 mile walk uphill to return. That is not practical to carry a beach chair and ice chest and spend a few hours, however, it was a lovely morning walk and we were able hit Starbucks on PCH and Dana Point Harbor for morning coffee on our way back. ##### Kristin W. Plenty of room to spread out and not feel on top of each other. Nice tranquil yard. Beautiful set up and centrally located to places we enjoyed (the beach, Laguna, shopping). Gated community, tennis courts, pool, hot tub. Grocery store within 2 miles of location. Traffic was minimal. Definitely will VRBO this location in the future! ##### Troy F. Terrific outdoor amenities with the BBQ, fitepit and table with umbrella that seats 6\. Indoor has table seating for 8 and additional table hightop for 4\. I always worry a little before I get to a property I have only seen pictures of we were all pleased with this property. It had plenty of room for everyone to have privacy everyone we met were all very nice. The pool location was great to this particular property. A little far to walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend this property to others. I was more familiar with Laguna Beach and Newport but all are easy access to go roam around.
